We were on our way from New Denver to Vancouver when we decided to take a pit stop at this cute cafe located on the way to the Slocan viewpoint. Some owners of places themselves are so great that you already know that the food is going to be awesome. I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of things and fresh produce this owner served along with the burgers we took inspite of being there just before spring when the roads still had snow over them. The curly fries that they make in house were amazing along with the teriyaki chicken and Cajun chicken burgers we had. I tasted the borscht soup as well and it was really nice. Plus the owner lady gave us some extra house made gravy to go with the curly fries. In our 45 mins spent there , the owner must have come atleast 10 times to ask if we were okay. Amazing hospitality! Please keep doing what you do!!!

I enjoyed the fish and home-style fries. My brother had the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich and curly fries. We had a nice discussion with the sweet lady that runs the place about her experience during the recent evacuation of Slocan due to forest fires. She is good people.

Nice little restaurant with lots of good food options. Just one lady working when we were there, taking orders and cooking the food. She was even lovelier to chat with! Would recommend!!

The owner is a happy, helpful small business owner. My riding buddy and I arrived 30minutes before opening time on Saturday July 6, and she made us feel right at home. We had our coffee and ordered breakfast, which was really great. Before long, while sitting outside, we could smell our meals being cooked. Two other guys arrived and they also were met with open arms. We had time to hear about her three grown kids and she was a proud mom. If I lived in Slocan, I would like to get to know her. Also, Slocan is beautiful, something different from our crazy world. Our breakfast was top notch with service to boot. Good...

If you're going to eat in Slocan, eat here!! Food is amazing; fresh, homemade, hot and absolutely delicious!! If any reviews say it's slow, ignore them. The owner is a wonderful lady who is both cook and waiting staff and the food very worth waiting for!! When my wife and I were there we were fortunate enough to spend time chatting with Antonia and Dean, both incredible great, friendly people who were fantastic to talk with. When you get hungry in th Slocan Valley you have to stop here. You won't be...
