Hometown Pizza — Restaurant in South Bruce

Pizza places seem to be "the" thing in small towns. Teeswater used to have one that was not good, so when this new place opened we were hesitant to try it.

So, tonight we decided to take the plunge and try them out. We called them up and ordered two large pizzas (one pepperoni and one Hawaiian) and a medium garlic bread with cheese.

The total came to $50 and change (I think there was a Friday special for 2 traditional pizzas for $35). Okay, not bad for a local, non-chain pizza place (but obviously not the cheapest we have seen). I paid by debit and there was no "no tip" button. I was going to tip anyways, but not having the option to pass on a tip when your total was already 50 bucks seemed a little silly. There was set % values and an option for a manual cash amount (I guess through that option one could put any amount, including possibly $0, not sure). I paid, we grabbed our boxes and went home almost 60 dollars later.

The pizzas were delicious! The garlic bread was a pizza in itself which was both surprising yet rewarding. There was a great amount of topping on the Hawaiian so they did not skimp out there. The toppings tasted fresh and there was the perfect amount of sauce on the pizza.

The staff seemed friendly and the experience was a pleasant one. The place itself was clean, quiet and very roomy.

Overall the entire experience was great and was well deserving of the price. I am glad we took the plunge and picked pizza...

I absolutely adore this place! Their menu is so big it's hard to make a choice but.. every choice is worth it.

The staff is so kind and polite, I had made a takeout order a little late yet, had gotten there before they closed to pick it up.. I ended up having an issue with their card reader and had to run to the bank two doors over to pull out cash while they were closing up.. they waited patiently for me and didn't make me feel rushed or like I had unconvinced them by doing so.

Their machine just wasn't working and they were so kind about me needing to make that stop at closing time.

Wow! Now that was a dirty sub. I enjoy my Subway but these guys are on a whole other level. I got an assorted 12' and it was bursting with flavor. The sauce, the ingredients, and even the bread/cheese all formed into this heavenly combination of extreme flavor. You can really taste how fresh everything is and that makes such a difference. Great pairing of sauces as well. The price was very reasonable. Also staff were super nice and professional. I gotta try the pizza next and next lunch time I'll be back for another sub. Thanks...
