What a great spot! We had such a wonderful experience celebrating our friend’s anniversary at Danu Cellars. The atmosphere, food and service cannot be beat. In a world where dining out has often lost its specialness- Danu cellars provided a dining experience - the way it should be.

Atmosphere: The modern/rustic dining room has a beautifully unique atmosphere in the cellar of the winery with a view to the wine barrels. The restaurant is just the right size to feel comfortable (and hear yourselves speak.)

Service: The service was impeccable. Jaimie was so professional and attentive. A few glasses of bubbly for the celebrating couple and some special additions throughout the meal elevated our experience.

Food: Then of course the food. Spectacular. Home made breads, fresh seafood, seasonally featured ingredients, all cooked to perfection and plated with creativity, heart and care.

Wine: The wine was excellent. We enjoyed 2 bottles of the Cab Franc. I’m certainly no sommelier but our party of 6 agreed it was smooth, balanced and truly enjoyable with our entire meal.

We are thrilled to have this calibre of dining only 45 mins from our home and are looking forward to our next visit.

Danu is my new favourite restaurant! We were lucky enough to get to have our wedding reception at Danu and it was absolutely amazing! Everyone loved their food - we had the steak, ravioli, and pickerel as the options for guests. Narrowing down the choices from the fall menu was a task that took a lot of time and deliberation - all the dishes sounded amazing! We had number of guests with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free) and Danu was able to accommodate everyone.

Everyone’s food was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was next level! You can tell a lot of care was put into every single plate, which is extra impressive when you are cooking for 40 people at the same time.

The service was amazing. It is like the servers knew what you needed before you did, and then they were right there with it. All of the staff were super friendly and happy, which just made the experience that much better.

I can’t wait to come back - I want to try everything on the menu! Make sure to save room for dessert - the carrot cake with cinnamon ice cream and the pumpkin crème brûle are out of this world delicious!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here and I can't speak highly enough about how fantastic and indulgent the entire experience was! The evening was genuinely a culinary mastery; every item on the plate down to the garnish was delicious, playful and purposeful. The ingredients were innovative and exceedingly fresh, many of which were culled that day from their garden. Unfortunately, being pregnant I couldn't indulge in the wine; however, my fiance thoroughly enjoyed the recommended pairings from our gracious and attentive server and the chef alike. We were fortunate enough to meet the chef and he was a lovely gentleman. In addition to his immense culinary knowledge and skill, he was very kind and down to earth as well. As mentioned, our server and the service in general was top notch. All the staff were polite, and genuine, warm and inviting. Our server spoke confidently about the dishes and we appreciated the thoughtful suggestions presented to us. In addition to the service, the location and restaurant itself provide a unique charm and add a beautiful aesthetic to the experience also.
