Read moreIt was a freezing cold afternoon and we needed lunch before going to the hockey arena. To cheer on the leaside Wildcats! Driving in from Windsor, we didn't have much time and totally lucked out by finding Sherri's diner! While the outside could use a little TLC, it's the inside that counts.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted like we were best friends! We asked for tea and got a big pot!
The yellow walls and red check table cloths made it such a happy place... but it's the food that was really impressive.
Sherri bakes her own bread that was delicious. I'm a good soup maker, but Sherri 's beef and barley soup is 10x better than mine!
Our peameal sandwiches on her toasted bread was the finishing touch to a great lunch at a great price and for sure we will be back next time we go to our cottage in the North Bay area.

I ordered Caesar Salad and chilli with garlic cheese toast ( there are 4 huge yummy garlic cheese bread slices in an order don’t be fooled by the singular form of the noun toast). The portions here are huge and the food screams LOVE . I will visit here again for sure to check their other menu items which seem delicious too! Bonuses: You can have your food packed free of charge that if you don’t finish their scrumptious food because you are too full due to the fact that their portions are lumberjack size!
