We ordered the Thanksgiving dinner from this bakery for the second year in a row, and unfortunately, this year was a big miss. The turkey was dry, the potatoes were soupy, the dressing was drier than a popcorn fart, and the carrots were so undercooked I might as well have pulled one straight from the fridge.
The only saving grace was the buns, apple pie, and tarts ā those were excellent. But everything else felt rushed and careless. I donāt know if they had a new cook this year or were just trying to get through the holiday, but it really showed.
Next year, weāll be making our own Thanksgiving dinner.
Update: After posting my review about this bakery, the manager reached out to apologize that we didnāt enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner. He also offered a full refund. I thanked him for the apology and told him that offering to refund our money shows real professionalism and that they stand behind their service.
As a business owner myself, I truly value that kind of accountability and I appreciated it. That said, we still wouldnāt order those dinners again, but I wanted to share that the bakery did the right thing and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe bakery items are SO DELICIOUS! We had the peanut butter cheesecake and a custard turnover, and both were fresh, rich, and decadent. We bought a loaf of everything sourdough, and I had to REALLY resist buying the cheese bread, fritters, cinnamon buns, and more!
1 star deducted for their lunch food. While I appreciate them having some "meal" items available, they were not up to nearly the same standard. We had the teriyaki rice bowl and "cheesy" meatball panini; we wouldn't order either of these again. Both were highly processed meats, there was very little cheese on the sandwich, and the "bowl" was simply the shaved beef over a pile of rice doused with teriyaki sauce, with a side salad. The best part by far was the fresh ciabatta bun!
Best to stick to their forte - the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat great service and amazing baked good. We stopped in right after Mondayās Eclipse. As an exception to a usually closed Monday, the bakery had been open until 3pm on this eclipse viewing day. We unfortunately arrived at 3:40pm to find the doors locked. To our amazement, the owners noticed us and opened up to allow us to purchase some amazing baked good. Sugar tarts, eclairs, croissants and cinnamon buns. What a great ending to a spectacular day out in Ingleside to view a once in a lifetime event. By the time we left, there was quite a line up who also came in after us. We were obviously not the only ones who left with their hands full. Thank you...
