Update: The owners response should heed warning to in coming patrons with allergies. Blaming the patron when so many things were done so poorly is in bad taste. It’s also known in the community I guess how poor the food is. Word of mouth is strong on this place not just the reviews.
The food was very underwhelming. The charcuterie board had 6 pieces of cheese and not enough meat for a small sandwich for $35. We asked for peanuts separate as we had a patron with an allergy. The nuts came in a bowl in the food. Pretty risky.
They had a really hard time figuring out what food was gluten free as they don’t mark any dietary requirements on the menu and no one seems to have an idea. For what the restaurant looks like the menu was pretty unprofessional.
One of our party ordered the salmon rice bowl one of the most expensive items on lunch menu.. which looked beautiful but first bite was a shock to know the salmon and the basmati rice was straight out of the fridge. Freezing cold. Not close to even room temp. It is listed as a bowl not a salad so you would assume a mostly warm plate. If they were trying to do a sushi bowl they would need to use sushi rice which can be served cold. Nothing turns you off faster than freezing cold rice that’s hard and crunchy to bite into. The servers required leadership present although they tried their hardest the 12 people present in the restaurant was very overwhelming and they had no support present. They were out of a lot of things in the bar. The pink lady drink was undrinkable to us but the patron decided to not mention it and drink it regardless.
I believe they did their best but require a lot more training and support since the restaurant could hold a min of 70 people I couldn’t even imagine how crazy that would be given our quiet rainy afternoon experience.
Our party spent about 1000$ total for the day between the spa and the restaurant. We would return to the spa but probably pack our own lunches. The spa manager remedied the poor food experience as no one in the restaurant apologized or explained there was maybe a misunderstanding about the food or it being prepared incorrectly or with the wrong kind of rice if it was supposed to be a cold dish. No one seemed to know why the rice was hard cold and...
Read moreReview part 1….I have to say l really wish l had taken a picture of my clubhouse sandwich. It was so disappointing. Looked like a sandwich l could’ve bought at a grocery store for $6. Plain white bread, tomato, lettuce and 3 thin (very thin) slices of processed turkey and small portion of microwave bacon. I mean the boxed bacon crap you actually microwave. Honestly, l should’ve sent it back and am angered the more l think about paying $25 for such a terrible sandwich. The worst part is l bought my bosses lunch and he got the same meal. I say meal to be polite. $80 with tip (waitress was nice) and a couple drinks.I’m an easygoing guy and for me to take the time to leave a review means it was a terrible rip off. I’m so upset l actually paid for it. I can’t believe the chef (obviously not a true chef) or establishment is okay serving that and charging what they charge. Very sad that such a nice looking place could be so cheap and serve that nonsense to someone. I was expecting one of the best clubhouses ever for that price. I think a grocery store actually would’ve had more turkey and bacon on it. Brutal experience. I will NEVER eat there again.
Review part 2…(after reading owners response) I’m sorry but I find it very hard to believe the owner doesn’t know what their chef or cook is creating in the kitchen. If he doesn’t then he should start. These 1 minute to make sandwiches we waited 20-30 min for can’t be the norm. Maybe we were served the pre-made halfway house or cart sandwiches instead of a professionally made clubhouse? I tried finding a picture of a terrible looking clubhouse sandwich online to post here as a comparison but l couldn’t find one close to as bad as ours were. Dear owner, Instead of just responding to an upset customers review with a typical answer maybe try to offer some sort of compensation to win me back as a regular customer. I’m feeling so ripped off I’m wasting my time on here leaving a review. I never do this. Thanks for making me feel...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s day at Wave Spa and it was a 5/5 experience. We came upto the restaurant halfway through as recommended by the staff downstairs and it was the WORST experience in a restaurant I’ve ever had.
We walked into all occupied or dirty tables, which at the time didn’t bother us because a rush may have just ended or the server may have gotten busy. But as time went on, we realized everyone in the building just moves verrryyyy sloooowwwwww.
There were a few tables occupied around the same time as us, most of which were only 2 people anyway. I don’t think anyone who’s ever served before would’ve considered it even close to busy.
We each ordered a fry. We waited over an hour to get our food. Two fries. We watched 4 separate tables place their orders, longingly wait for their food, receive and eat their food, pay and leave, before receiving our order. During that time, neither of the workers including our server came to check up on us, or at least make up an excuse about the kitchen being slow.
The food itself wasn’t bad, but all we ordered were fries so that may not mean much. Some might think the fries were soggy but I don’t mind my fries that way so I didn’t have many complaints that way. We also received what we ordered, which isn’t much of a save considering that’s the bare minimum in food service.
Once we finished, we didn’t want to wait any longer so we went up to the counter to pay. We still had to wait for the workers to notice we were there as they were chatting in the back.
Save your money, spend more time in the spa and find a local restaurant...
