The restaurant was clean and the wait staff was very friendly and professional. We sat at a booth near the back as it has cushioned seats. The owner was sitting in the last booth doing work. We ordered , as I said waitress was great. I ordered fish and chips that they advertise and the other person ordered the special which was maple bacon steak with mashed potatoes. We noticed that when I asked my friend where the washroom was, the owner sitting behind answered the question. No big deal. The food came and the waitress left. The batter on the haddock fish was not cooked. It was lightly coloured and not crispy. The batter inside was raw like and was not appetizing. The steak was cooked to liking, but was full of grissel and most was inedible. When the waitress finally came back we mentioned how the batter was not cooked and inside the batter was wet and not cooked. From behind, the owner answered and said “ that’s the way haddock is. It is a wet fish and that’s the way it is.” I have never had batter uncooked in fish before and always had haddock ! I ate the fish out of the batter and the fish was not even cooked fully. The fries were good though. Half the steak was left as it was a very poor cut and to pay 28.00 for a steak that could not be all eaten was a horrible experience. Every time we tried speaking to the waitress about anything, the owner would answer the question from the booth behind. We went to try this place out as the review was 4.4/5. A 3 would be generous. Perhaps the food was like this as they knew we were from out of town and wouldn’t be a regular customer. But we definitely will not go back...

Very very disappointed we went in for breakfast this morning told us to sit where ever we'd like cuz only 4 other people where there, sat down at a table let us sit for 15 minutes then a group of people came in and they told us we had to move because they reserved the table after we where sitting there. Then 3 of six of us got drinks after half an hour due to being extremely understaffed. 15 minutes later give us 2 more drinks and ask if we're ready to order they hadn't even gave us menus even yet, then they tell us before giving us menus that we need to hurry cuz they have a group of 30 coming in, decided to just leave went to pay for drinks and they made us pat for a drink they never gave us because they claimed they couldn't take it off of our bill. We sat outside and watched the 30 people arrive then 5 minutes later all 30 people left! Horrible service and there prices are extremely expensive, didn't care to try to serve us. They charged us 30 dollars for 2 coffees, wouldn't give us any milk or cream, 3 juices and a...

This is the most fun filled restaurant I’ve been to. The humoured walls, decades ago newspaper clippings on the tables and the service so special. It’s a busy restaurant with everything from wraps to grilled steaks on the menu.

Taylor suggested the poutine with and without hamburger for the two of us. Was that ever so good. Thanks Taylor.

Jenna quickly cleared the tables and swept the floors after the lunch hour rush. It’s so clean and fresh. The shakers on the tables wiped and often refilled. That speaks volumes about the quality and service.

They also have free wifi if needed. However, enjoy the experience and chat later !

From the street front easy to miss, simply because it’s not easy when driving through to spot! Rest assured once inside an hour of unlimited dining with enough...

Got the hamburger poutine that was like a deconstructed burger with the "burger toppings" on the side. Was so good! The service was great except a small miscommunication with chef, but it was taken care of professionally! Beautiful atmosphere, but there was paint on the railing and no sign stating such. Got black paint on hands. There was a sign on door saying wet paint on door, but not railing. Otherwise, a great place to eat with family and great choices of meals. Missing having the breaded mushrokm caps they used to make before new ownership.

Awesome food, great staff and beautiful ambience. Loved it! best fish and chips ever! Edit: Drove 2 hours in bad weather to visit again, and they didn't disappoint... The French onion soup and Caesar salad were great... The batter on the onion rings was fantastic. The fish and chips were on point again! The bbq chicken burger was very good as well. The dipping sauce that came with the sweet potato fries was excellent! Service was super friendly and quick. The lady that attended to us was very kind. Definitely a place to visit again.
