I saw all of the excellent reviews and expected this place to blow my socks off. While it was good, it wasnât great. I would go again if someone wanted to but it wonât be a âgotta go thereâ place for me.
The menu is extremely limited!! Only three choices of tacos, and the one my friend and I both wanted wasnât available. That left us two choices, along with guacamole and chips. We chose the beef tacos and got the chips and gauc as a starter, which was a good starter (the only one on the menu). It was a good size of quac and it was very fresh! I had asked for a side of sour cream for my tacos but they donât offer it because they are trying to stay strictly authentic. The tacos didnât need it and I didnât really miss it. No water is offered when you sit. I assume you must have to order it because I saw bottles of it. Pop is by the can or bottle if you order the Mexican pop at a $2 additional cost. Tasty though.
The tacos came and neither of us could the finish three you can get. Good serving size inside the tacos. They also, were very fresh tasting. They were served on paper plates with a paper wrapper on them. Seems kind of wasteful; I hope they recycle.
They offered us take-out containers for the remaining tacos. My friend even took home the consommé they bring out. Which she liked very much.
The tables were fine, the chairs not so comfy. Small and metal. The place was loud, we were sat at a table next to someone we used to work with and could barely hear them. The place was full and there is nothing to absorb sound. Very open space on one side with a ping-pong table for free play. Nice that people were utilizing it.
There are two unmarked washrooms. The one I chose was just okay. The door was a bit sticky (a tad hard to close) so parents may want to walk their children to the bathroom to make sure they can close the door properly. The wall between the sink and mirror could use a wash.
The staff were helpful and friendly. There was only one waitress on a Friday night. She held up fine but a second one may have made it a bit more efficient. Two staff in the open kitchen and they were able to keep up. One serves the meals to your table.
This place has a lot of potential and I certainly hope their menu expands a bit. A dessert would be a nice enhancement. While I donât like to eat outside, a night like we had would be a very nice night to do so, and I would think people would like that. Perhaps a patio next year would be good for them.
Overall, it was fine. The food good and the service was good. Itâs only been open for two months and I hope they do well, as I said lots of potential. I could just be being picky after seeing all the rave reviews. I would suggest checking it out if youâre...

I have been wanting to try this place for a while, and my husband and I decided to go out last night to try it finally. We were going to take it home but they have a nice little eating area outside so we took a table with our two dogs and baby.
When we ordered, the employee was friendly and let us know it would be about 20 mins. We walked the dogs beside the place and then another employee brought our food to us and went and got our drinks. This service was really good, they were all very friendly.
The tacos were AMAZING! We love Mexican food and I remember the tacos and food in Mexico was the best but these are better than anything we ate there on our trip. The birria is so tasty and the chorizo is really good too. The way they melt the cheese in is delicious. They also give a ton of sides/ garnishes with it: two salsas, a sauce to dip, and pickled jalapeños, onions/ cilantro/ spicy veggies. SO GOOD! I had the 2 taco + drink and was full, my husband got 3 tacos and a drink and was full.
Some of the reviews are complaining about the price but youâd pay more at Taco Bell these days and this is way better tasting! Also the staff were all friendly and courteous so Iâm not sure why people are saying they are in issue in their reviews.
Go out and try this place and support this...

Taco Locoâs tacos are absolutely DELICIOUS. An excellent amount of cheese and toppings, their pickled veggies are amazing and a nice addition to the tacos and I enjoy their sauces too! The hot sauce was actually HOT. They are cooked just right and delivered hot to your table. I recommend!
The service was amazing too. The guys who work there are attentive, speedy and very friendly. I have been there twice and my order was correct each time - that matters. We even tried their special rice drink - yum!
I gave 4 stars only because they have been out of food each time. The first time was guac and chips and the second was most options for taco filling. Another reason is it was freezing inside both times and when we drove out to go recently, they were closed - despite going during business hours.
The space is open and there is TONS of opportunity for outdoor seating however we did not see picnic tables etc. Taco Loco should hold dances and live music! Itâs the perfect space to do so and soon everyone will be driving by to and from the beach! Or this would just be icing on the cake when eating there!
We will return and hope to try all the menu...
