Good food but inconsistent as hell. Of our three times having Brodericks, first was great, second had half the portion sizes of the first, and third time they cancelled the order no warning, no explanation, after a half hour of waiting. They were bundled with another restaurant too so it caused no end of annoyance that I was ultimately still forced to pay for. They are either inconsiderate, or blindly use an auto-accepting system. Either way, you have no idea if or what you’ll get.

Edit for clarity: I thought it was clear I was talking about a delivery order. Order was cancelled with no explanation given, which is especially egregious when another restaurant’s business was involved. Can’t expect another business to lose out over Brodericks—but neither should I. It may have been a no-win but a heads up from Brodericks around the cancellation would have been the decent, human thing to do. It goes to show not much care, consideration, or compassion went into that...

After discovering that I couldn't get fish and chips at the Duke of Duckworth after 8pm (even on a Friday night), I wandered down to Broderick's as I'd been told they have the best seafood chowder on the rock. They did not disappoint.

Hayley, my server, was an absolute gem and picked up on all the small details. Strong tea - don't fill the pot to the brim. With some creative menu choices I was able to enjoy the chowder (really good, not too thick and great depth of flavour) as well as a piece of their fish with a couple of fries. The fish was cooked perfectly and arrived with a crispy batter on the outside while the fish inside was glistening and succulent, as fresh cod should be.

The kitchen was a bit backed up but thankfully that ensured that I was there long enough to enjoy the second musical act of the night. Great East Coast tunes, the kind you sing along to.

Thank you Broderick's and Hayley. I...

Had a really decent meal on the 19th Aug,2021. Everyone enjoyed their meals for the most part. My daughter loves what appeared to be home made chick fingers as well.A + . I got the Broderick Burger, which is basically 2 burgers on 1 long bun. Burger meat texture was great, cooked properly and had great presentation. 2 things I didn’t like though, the bacon was not cooked well, very “raw” and rubbery tasting. Not a fan of that. And the bun was either very stale or just really toasted too much as it was hard as a biscuit! I ended up pulling it all apart to discard a good portion of the bud. I would order it again but ask for the bun not to be toasted. Even with that it was still pretty decent. Staff were all very pleasant and we had some live music while we ate. A bit loud for us to talk during the meal but was still entertaining. We will come back and try it again...

I came here with my family. We were a group of 4. There were no tables inside so we snagged a seat on the covered patio. This turned out to be a good choice as the live music started up soon after we sat down around 7pm and inside I image would have been loud. We had 3 of us had turkey sandwiches (with two of us sharing one plus an appy) and then then our 4th had the Caesar salad. We were quite content with our meals and would not dissuade someone from dining here if considering it.
