I just ordered 3 tacos from the lunch menu. I asked the bartender to pick 3 of the most popular ones for me. Considering they were $18, I figured they would be a decent size. I received 3 small tacos (as seen below - all 3 can fit on one dinner plate) literally 1 minute after they were ordered. They must be somewhat prepared in the back. The Baja Fish one was fine, and dry (on the left). As for the other 2, I couldn’t even hold them in my hands they were so soggy. I had to eat them with a fork and knife. They tasted good but I just couldn’t get past the consistency of the tortillas. I’d recommend upping the portion size and changing the tortilla recipe. Otherwise, I’d never return. Go to Adelaide instead. Wayyyy better bang for your buck

I love Mexican food. Love it. But this just wasn’t hitting.. Mexican rice was delicious, but you maybe get 1/2-2/3 of a cup for $4. See pic.. I have tiny hands! Refried beans were not refried. Mostly undercooked and hard. The tortillas of my birria tacos weren’t fried in the consomé. And it would’ve been nice if I was offered fresh toppings to add as well like cilantro, salsa verde, etc I know this sounds like I’m being picky… but these things are standard at many Mexican restraunts. Ingredients were very fresh, beef was very flavourful. Mojito was perfect-o! And the interiors was beautiful. This place could be amazing with a few tweaks in the kitchen.

A family dinner outing personally requested by our 13 year old! This was our second experience at the downtown location (first being Paradise). 6:00pm reservation, divider wall was up in the middle (I was told it is to enhance the Cozy vibe during slower dining periods). A very dimly lit restaurant (if you haven't been) I get it though, makes the decor lights pop more and catch your eye. We had queso dip with nachos , twice because it was great! An alcohol free Corona which tastes exactly the same as the regular version 👍 I had the Chicken Burrito with refried beans and rice (pictured) AMAZING 😍

Just got back from my wife’s birthday dinner with her best friend and husband. If I could give this restaurant a worse rating I would but the app won’t let me. It started off when we called to make reservations this afternoon. We called and the girl said we don’t take reservations for parties of four we only do parties of eight. I asked if she could make an exception, she said in a rude matter, no we don’t make exceptions. I said ok, I’ll guess we’ll have to go somewhere else. She said very rudely, go ahead.

Then the manager was kind enough to call me after I submitted this feedback. He explained that it was a call service that they had been using and he’d like to take care of us personally, so he took our reservation for 7pm. We arrived and the place was very nice, and the atmosphere was good. So we ordered drinks & asked if there were complimentary chips & salsa like every other Mexican place I’d ever been & were told no. So we ordered some from the menu. The drinks were good, my wife loved the margaritas. Our meals started to arrived one at a time, serval minutes apart. My meal never came. Everyone else shared theirs with me. The waitress apologized and said the meal would be ready soon & would be on the house. I told her not to bring it because everyone was practically finished at this point. Then at 7:50 the manager called while I was sitting at the table he reserved for us & said he didn’t think we were coming tonight but we seen our names on their reservations. He then came over and spoke to us an offered use a complimentary drink for all of us, but at no time did he ask how our meal were. I was mad as hell because it was a night out with friends but I never said much because I didn’t want to embarrass my wife on her birthday.

Overall drinks are good, food okay, waitress was ok. Extremely poor service from management because he came across untruthful because he called me in the restaurant and told me that I didn’t think we were coming tonight when he reserved my table that day. Also kitchen staff poor for forgetting one...

One of our worst dining experiences. First off, there nothing authentic about the Mexican food at this restaurant. I’ve had Mexican food all over the world and this isn’t it. Arrived at 830 for our reservation and placed our order with our drink order. An hour and fifteen minutes later we had our food. The nachos were luke warm and soggy and honestly, just not very good. Nothing different from any other restaurant in the city in regard to ingredients or presentation and probably not even top 20 in flavour. We shared nachos, 2 tacos, and a sizzling skillet with some margaritas. The margaritas were good but very small. 3 sips snd your done, due the overloaded ice in the small glasses. For our second round I got a large mug for mine and my partner got the same small glass which was odd. The carne asada taco was mediocre at best, and only came with meat and a tasteless chimichurri, no salsa etc. The chicken al pastor was better but not near the size of the carne, very inconsistent. Mustang Sally’s tacos are better by a mile. The skillet was another let down. First off, the sent out the tortillas and toppings about 15 minutes before we received the skillet. The skillet arrived with just very well done beef and peppers. The flour tortillas were clearly not homemade which was such a let down, and really beyond belief for a Mexican restaurant. I make my own at home all the time and its so easy. Overall the experience was very disappointing. Second time there and wanted to love it but they need to do much better. Basically, any restaurant in the city that has that “Tex-mex” section of their menu is on par with the food here, which is so disappointing when this is the restaurant speciality. The server was very nice and the chips and salsa for the table were good but not enough to...

Cool place. Service isn’t great we made reservations and got sat down which was fine. Server took our order for drinks, took roughly 20 minutes to get our drink. Server then came back and took our order for food. We ordered an appetizer and tacos. Server then came back thirty minutes later and took our order for another drink, at this point we were already there for an hour and hadn’t seen her, she also failed to inform us as to why the wait was so long. At this point we both had two drinks and it had been over an hour and a half. Appetizer was one piece of corn for two people. Tacos were two tacos each. The food tastes good but not after waiting nearly two hours we were starving and the portions are small. Server then came over (she had different waiters serve us our food as we made multiple attempts to wave her down and get her attention and she kept going the opposite way into the back to avoid us). We would have appreciated if she was to let us know why it was taking so long, or apologize for the wait or atleast make conversation rather than avoid us. We honestly had better service from the man who brought us our food and he only hung around for about two minutes and brought us napkins. Once she finally came around I requested the bill immediately as I didn’t want to wait another hour. Bill was about $100 for two beers, two drinks and an cob of corn and 4 small tacos total. If we had good service it would have been worth it. The couple behind us also complained and they got their meal discounted where as we didn’t even...
