We had reservations for 7pm for a specific table when arrived denied table cause it had to be cleaned and it couldn't be cleaned yet for awhile. No menu til 1/2 hr after seated. Got the bread right away but had to keep asking for plates and napkins. Tried to order from the kids menu for the 3 grandkids but cheesy capelletto wasn't available only bowtie alfredo. When we received the bowtie alfredo it was macaroni with a sauce. When I showed the server she said the bowtie was no longer available. I told her she didn't like macaroni and the response was to order something else which we didn't cause of nothing else was available. I tried to order the capelletto for myself as well not available so I asked for lasagna but it wasn't available either. I opted for the chicken wrap which came with a salad without dressing. I asked for my dressing but was informed that I had to ask another server cause she was cleaning off a table. Seriously the service was awful. My husband's calzone was very doughie and he told the server he was not satisfied with meal, no response. She asked what the kids wanted for their dessert, they wanted the brownie dessert from the kids menu but once again not available. I told her we ate very little was going away hungry cause we didn't get unlimited salad. I was reminded by the server that I didn't order the right stuff from the menu but I soon corrected her that we tried but nothing was available. To top it all off we had to pay full price for everything with no offer of a discount. All our plates were taken away with little or nothing eaten and we left very disappointed. We spent almost $80 and left hungry. We will never recommend this place to anyone. Also, for the record I only gave it a 1 star review so I could add...
Read moreWent in with my toddler and was told there were no tables and that I'd have to wait 30 to 45 minutes, I saw 4 empty tables with higher chairs and asked if I could sit there, and I was super nice, ive worked in the service industry myself and would NEVER be rude, but this person at the door immediately got rude and said she wasn't going to sit us there because it would be a liability to have him sit on a higher chair.....there were other kids there and asked a second time saying that he's sat to these types of tables before and had no issues, but she refused......I went outside and called the manager, of course feeling awful that I even had to but I had no vehicle to leave rhe hotel and it was 7 at night, we'd been on the road all day and I just needed to get my little guy fed and up to bed......the manager said there was definitely no policy and no rule saying I couldn't and that it was no problem at all, sounding confused that the person even said it to me and to come right in.......after being seated the person who addressed me when I first showed up was giving me the worst looks, and then it took an over an hour to get our orderes in and our first beverage, no one topped up any of the free salad.......the person serving us once less busy was ok, he was still not attentive as he had the bar to serve as well with people playing slots and sitting to the bar...we go to this same chain at another location once a month or so and this is the first time I've ever ever had any issues, usually we rsve about how friendly staff is and how good the food is, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, especially a parent of...
Read moreWent there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday as it used to be a pre-COVID tradition. My family and I hadn’t been there since 2019 and wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
While the service was great, the food was only okay; with the exception of our appetizer! We ordered a balsamic flatbread bread pizza, which was absolutely delicious and the highlight of our experience.
The first negative was the fact that they had no all you can eat bread. Due to a supplier logistic issue they had run out. This sucked, but it was understandable and they did apologize. I wanted veal for my main entree, but they were also out of veal! Second strike! I ended up ordering chicken Parmesan samdwich with fries, my wife a Hell’s Kitchen plate, and my daughter a burger and salad
My wife’s meal was cooked perfectly and she thoroughly enjoyed; although the portion size had decreased since the last time she had ordered. My meal was okay, nothing to brag about. I thought the sandwich was on the small size and there fries we’re definitely undercooked. My daughter indicated that her salad was really good, but the burger appeared to be undercooked. I tried a bite of it and had to agree (it was also on the cold side). We spoke to the waiter about it and he graciously removed the burger from our bill, but it still ended up being the third strike.
I won’t say that I dislike East Side Mario’s, but let’s just say that I won’t be in a hurry to return. Next years birthday will probably be...
