Disaster..never returning.
I am a customer of fabulous foods off and on for over 15 years now.last summer there food could not be touched..u walk in a order and ur food was freshly made right than and there but that us no longer the case. Last year got xlub sandwichs and fries serveral times for picnics at bannerman park where several ppl aproached us on numerous days asking where we got it and how good it smelled and i proudly said “fabulous foods”. But that will never happen again.over the past few months the quality has slipped but ive let it slide time and again because of past greatness and because it usualy was still good, the amount and quality of the turky now on the club sandwichs has degraded drasticly over the past year while price has increased…the toasted club sandwich is no longer made fresh but at minimum its a day old, toast is soggy from being toasted a day ago but also from the lettuce abd tomato been on it the past cpl days.the tomato it self looks like a slice i took off a wendys hamburger and tossed in my garbage 3 days ago or hd been left on the counter..lettuce same thing dehydrated and browning.past 4 times ina row i added cheese and paid for cheese one my 2 sandwichs but never recieved them..i guess they would have to make ot fresh which is to much to ask fabulis foods in its current state to make u fresh food aparently..todays meals fries were the only redeeming quality which is sad because they are a shell of the previous fries i got there just months ago. Got my gravey today but lst 3 times previously they forgot the gravey.also i have come to find out the so called “specials” and combos are false advertising they are literaly the same price if u got the items seperatly so theres so special price or combo pricing what so ever. Also the bacon seems kinda turnt..u cant really feed ppl 3 day old bacon and expect it to be fine..im so done with this place which is kindof sad causei loved this place(as u can tel by my large text review i feel strongly about this) i felt they were a local gem..a somewhat hidden gem that didnt get enough shine, but oh well life goes on i wont be returning ..i will literaly drive to another city to get a sandwhich before i ever give them another chance this is the stray that broke...
Read moreMy partner and I saw the insane amount of positive reviews for this place all over the internet, so we decided to try it out.
We are extremely confused as to how this place has such glowing reviews as we found the food absolutely revolting. We ordered a turkey sandwich with fries, and chicken nuggets and fries, and it was literally inedible. I LOVE anything turkey, but this turkey was terrible (and don't get me started on their disgusting, watered-down "gravy") and neither my partner nor I could eat more than 3 fries, as they tasted extremely strongly of grease.
I consider myself to be quite the pig when it comes to food (I will eat almost anything) but I could not stomach to eat this food.
We're wondering if either we came on an off day, or everyone in St John's is a lunatic and thinks this...
Read moreI've been a long-term customer of Fabulous foods (since the old days, when they were called Chaulkers !)....but unfortunately I've noticed a steady decline in the food that I've grown accustomed too. Today was my final visit. HAVE THEY CHANGED RECIPES ? Or am I imagining things. The food was totally tasteless....the fries undercooked, the gravy was horribly bland (zero taste), and the turkey almost tasted sour. The worst part unfortunately, was the dressing, which is usually my favorite. The dressing had way too much savory, making it inedible. I literally tossed my HOT turkey deluxe in the trash bin. I can't be the only one who has noticed the decline in quality can I?? Sorry Fabulous foods.... I...
