My worst experience I ever have encounter in all my life and world travel. This is not about the staff, but the manager. A Chinese belive he is in China and can treat people like the Chinese is treating the Uyghurs by puting them in concentration camps. Something is really wrong with his attitude and customer service. 12 of February 2022 at 6.40pm my wife order a meal for us by telephone. 1 GF Northern Thai Curry, ( mild) and 1 Cashew Chicken with a large rice. When I got home I was surprised and disappointed we had the wrong order, one Hot Northern Thai and one Pinapple Curry. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and explain we have got wrong food. The manager was not there but the staff would tell him what happened and have him call us. We did not hear back from the manager and after the weekend we called again and the same thing happened. The manager did not called back. We called again later in the week and the same thing happened. We did not got a call from the manager. So after the weekend again Tuesday 22 of February around 6.00 pm I drove down to the restaurant to talk to him. I brought with me all the food. The manager was not there but the staff called him and he came in aoround 10 min later. I explained to him all again and presented the bill where the order was written down. I told him my complaint again that my order was Chicken and Cashew and my wife's food have to be mild. But hers food was very strong and she could not eat it. I did asked him what kind of customer service he was showing us. HE'S ANSWER WAS "WE COULD NOT TRICK HIM" and asked me to leave the restaurant, I refused and he called the police that came around 15-20 min later. I explained my story to the police and they understood my frustration and was agreed that it was a poor customer service and I was in my fully right to complain. But they could not force the manager to pay me back but I could take him to...

We visited the place randomly on a Saturday evening seeing it's popularity and was told politely that they were fully booked and the wait could be 1 hour. We opted for takeout instead. The aroma in the dining area was really nice. The waitress who took our order was very sweet and apologetic, and our dishes were ready within 15 min. Prices were on the higher end but we thought that was the premium for being in the central location. Up till this point, everything seemed to be going towards the right direction.

Then we opened our food. What on earth did the kitchen do? Tom yum soup - there were carrots in it. They added too much sugar and no galangal. We asked for the shrimp option and there were 3 shrimps in total. The soup was over $12 and came in a cup the size of one scoop of ice cream. Then there's the Mango tofu. It was supposed to be a fusion stir fry with pan fried tofu and sweet mango mixed in a savory sauce that's garlicky and gingery. Instead we got a bowl of non-curry, non-soup mixture of liquid and solid abomination that's sour, salty, combined with floating firm tofu cubes that were miraculously tasteless. It came in a container that could fit 3 Mary Brown's chicken strips and set us back over $20. We ordered a side of small steamed white rice which cost $4. I doubt the rice came out of a rice cooker because it was undercooked.

In comparison, Thai Express serves gourmet food.

I could not believe what I saw and what I tasted. How on earth would a place like this be fully booked? Even if this was a tourist trap, all tourists from other places on this planet would have known better. 5 star service and attitude, 1 star food. If I could give it 0...

Stopped in randomly with my husband on the way home today since neither of us felt like cooking dinner.

Dining room is simple, comfortable and clean, in a great location from downtown but unfortunately the views aren't the best, haha. That's totally out of their control, though, and there was lots of great light coming in to make the place cheery!

Staff were very friendly and asked right away if we had any special dietary requirements. We were seated fairly quickly, despite the restaurant being almost full and not having a reservation. Unfortunately once seated with menus it took quite a while to be served again; A table of 4 came in after us and were seated, had orders taken and were given waters/cutlery while we sat waiting for someone to return to our table.

When someone did finally come back to take our orders we were given water but no cutlery or napkins. Our appetizer arrived and once finished they came to clear the plate and then realized we had no napkins or cutlery. Perhaps they were short staffed or something but it was a bit disappointing to seem to be missed with a larger table receiving better service across the room.

Our food was... food. The Pho seemed overly greasy and the sprouts were at the bottom of the bowl so they lost their snappy freshness in the hot broth; everything just seemed soggy, overcooked and bland. I was hungry, so I ate it, but I remarked to my husband that it seemed almost like the 'Chef Boyardee' version of Pho compared to the various other Vietnamese/Asian restaurants...

My husband and I came here for lunch, thinking we would be in and out in under an hour (his allotted break time). When we arrived, there were 3 tables seated and was not very busy. It did pick up to a full house during our stay. It took 45 minutes from when we sat down to when we had food on our table, which didn't leave much time to eat. There was only one server, so I do give some grace, but it did take 20 minutes for our order to be taken. In terms of the food, the pho was lacking. Coming from Calgary and having to traveled to Vietnam, we've had many pho meals over the years. The bean sprouts were at the bottom of the bowl (instead of served on the side) so they were soggy and no crunch. The broth flavor was not on par, and the serving size was quite small for the price point. We would not return for the pho. The spring rolls were quite good. $8.00/2 was a little pricey, but they are on the thicker side so I can understand the reasoning. The Chicken Pad Thai was decent. The noodles were short (cut maybe?) which was odd to me, but the flavors were there along with a decent amount of spice. Overall, we would consider returning to try the curry or other items to see if there is a meal we would crave enough to go back for. Will update this review with other thoughts.

Went to this place for my wife’s birthday. The location is very modern and newly-renovated with a wheelchair access ramp. There’s plenty of seating inside, and the decor is very fresh, modern, and undeniably Thai! We we t on a Saturday night during St. Patty’s day weekend, so the place was packed! Despite this, we only waited four minutes for our table, and then we were seated. Appetizers came out quickly; within 10-15 minutes of ordering, and mains followed soon after (10 mins after the mains). The northern Thai egg noodles were very tasty, and we ordered them hoping they’d be similar to Khao Soi (they are similar, but not identical). The basil chicken was delicious! The veggies were tender and succulent, with the perfect balance of crunch and heat. The chicken was also very tasty, however there were some pieces that tasted a bit rubbery as if they had been boiled. The strange part - the chicken did t come with any rice, so I had yo order it separately on the side. The fried banana with ice cream was delicious; not overly sweet or otherwise over the top, but instead the perfect blend of umami, sweetness, and savoury. Some pro-tips; make a reservation beforehand, and irder rice as a side if your dish doesn’t come with any!
