Greco Pizza — Restaurant in St. John's

3 times I've visited this location, and 2 times was not worth it. The first time was awful. They told me I had no order placed, so I thought it was my mistake and drove to a different location, 15 minutes away. It was not my mistake. After discovering my order was not at the other location, I called the topsail road back and asked what is happening? She said oh, we gave you order away already. I said then why did you let me drive to another location looking for my dinner?! She said I could get delivery instead of driving back, but it was still going to cost me the same. Why??! Delivery should definitely be free at this point. But, anyway. They made my order and I had to go get it because I refused to pay for delivery after driving 30 minutes back and forth already (gas is not cheap right now). The second time I ordered was okay. The food was made properly, but I had to wait a while to get it. The third time I ordered from this location, I ordered a party Pizza deal that was supposed to be ½pizza ½garlic fingers, with 12 medium wings and a 2L. I mentioned to him about the expired coupons I received in a previous visit. I was grateful for him to accept them. The men working were nice, and I did not have to wait long. He told me that they messed up and made it a full pizza and just gave me a small garlic fingers on the side. I said wow! thank you! When I get home and open up the pizza, it is not a full pizza. It is ½ pizza ½ garlic fingers like it was originally supposed to be. So, I randomly have an extra garlic fingers. Bonus! However, they didn't cut it, they forgot to put meat on the pizza. Only mushrooms, green pepper and pineapple. Where's the pepperoni and Salami?! 🤣😭 They didn't give any donair sauce for mountain of garlic fingers. Also, they gave me the wrong sauce with the wings. I ordered medium and they gave me hot. 🤣 I'm sorry, if they can't properly fill an order, it doesn't matter how nice they are. I will probably not be ordering from this location anymore and accept that I can drive a bit further to save...

Waited 3 full hours for 3 pizzas for my child’s birthday party. Placed the order at 5:04pm, expecting it to be 45m-1h. At hour 1 we called and were told they were just out of the oven and would be here in 10 minutes. At 1h45m we called back after still not receiving them, and was told they were waiting for a delivery driver status update and it was just out of the oven again. The woman I spoke with hung up saying the driver just walked in and the order was on the way right now. I live 5 minutes away. At the 2 hour mark, I called back and was placed on hold for 7 minutes. While on hold, I called on another number and was immediately asked how I could be helped, showing they were now screening my calls and not answering me. I ask for another update and this time I’m upset as it’s been 2 hours, it’s 7:10pm and I have hungry party-goers. I’m told they can refund me, and I tell them I just want my pizzas and at this point I’d like it free or discounted. She tells me no, that it is already out for delivery, and if they don’t show up she will make new ones for me. She says I can call the manager tomorrow if I want to, and takes my information. At 2h30 minutes, I officially gave up and ordered Domino’s Blackmarsh Road. Domino’s was delivered in 23 minutes. At the 3h02m, Greco’s calls to tell me the driver is on the way. I tell them to cancel it because 3 hours is absolutely ridiculous for 3 pizzas for children and parents. The person calling sounded shocked that it took 3 hours and offered nothing except that they will inform the driver to turn around.

Absolutely horrible service. If they were behind, just tell the customer that. Don’t constantly lie saying it’s on the way or just out of the oven and then refuse to answer calls. If you actually want your pizza, go to Domino’s...

On September 19, 2023, (Tuesday) evening at around 4:35 p.m. I visited the Topsail Rd location in St. John's. The lady who served me was quite busy, working several orders by herself, as she mentioned her crew didn't start until a little later. I ordered a large pizza and medium garlic fingers by phone and was there to pick it up. When prepared, the worker opened the pizza box and stated that she was working with fresh dough and it is hard to work with ( that kind of made me think... opposed to what, unfresh dough?) - the large pizza was after shrinking because of the fresh dough she said, so she asked if she should bake another. Good service- she was very hardworking. I was in a hurry, so said that it was ok that it was a bit smaller.

The bacon on the pizza the last two trips to this location seemed very overcooked and tasted rather " off". This particular pizza due to the bacon was not very good. The garlic fingers seemed ok but they too tasted a bit off and the dough wasn't the right texture. Both members of my household who tasted the pizza got very bad bellies later that evening and still sore this morning. I just wanted to inform Greco that maybe the bacon was sour - it tasted very bad and it was definitely tasting burned.
