I had a very disappointing experience with Indus Eatery today. After a long day at work, I picked up a chicken biryani from the restaurant, as there weren’t many places open at the time and I was starving. Unfortunately, the food was in terrible condition. It had a foul smell and clear signs of spoilage. It was also served cold.
It’s unacceptable for any restaurant to serve food that is potentially unsafe to eat. Such poor food quality can easily make someone sick. Customers trust that the food they pay for is safe and fresh, and it’s deeply concerning when that trust is broken.
One positive note I want to mention is that when I reported the issue, the staff member who took the order remained calm and professional. They discussed the matter with the manager, and I was issued a refund, which I appreciate.
However, the bottom line is that if a restaurant is open and accepting orders, they have a responsibility to ensure the food they serve meets quality and safety standards. I hope Indus Eatery takes this seriously and improves their food handling practices...
Read moreIndus eatery is my absolute favourite Indian food in the city. Consistently delicious food, good prices, kind service, great hours. I love their parathas, they are the most delicious things I have ever eaten and I haven't had them near as good anywhere else. I order from this restaurant more than anywhere else and it's always a treat. As a broke college student, I love this place because it's extremely well priced for how much food you actually get, and it's GOOD, so flavourful and doesn't leave you feeling gross, which I personally don't see a lot. The portions are always large so I always have leftovers which means more time for studying less time spent cooking.
Also their new location is adorable, seems great for eat in or take out. Check it out if you...
Read moreOrdered from Skip very late, so wasn’t expecting much. Just a hot meal that wasn’t fast food. And oh boy, it blew me out of the water. Absolutely delicious, perfectly packed. The curry and the rice were both in nice containers that did not leak. The naan was folded in tinfoil and all of it stayed perfectly hot. The curry had a lovely amount of spice to it, and I had chosen a tofu dish which the tofu was perfectly cooked. I must also mention the rice was fragrant and beautifully piece-y. No lumps or clumps. Smelled like they used saffron or something similar in cooking it. Needless to say I cannot wait to dine in, or get takeout directly from this restaurant. A perfect first experience and through a delivery app none...
