RUDE MANAGEMENT AND HORRIFIC STAFF. An order was placed from my place of work and we love jungle jims unfortunately we are located in the downtown area so George Street Jungle Jims is our option for takeout. We have had several incidents in the past where our order is incorrect and they do nothing to replace.. they just say unfortunately. Where is your hospitality? Today we had no drinks and wings were messed up and having enough of this I called to complain the boy that answered the phone said unfortunately that's skip the dishes fault. I asked to speak to a manager because they always blame skip the dishes... can you own up to something? Anyways the "supervisor" said unfortunately about 25 times. Annoyed I asked her if that was the only word she could say. I told her we want our drinks and wings corrected and she would say unfortunately we don't deliver you have to contact skip the dishes for a refund...... I WANT MY ORDER NOT A REFUND. I then told her i will be coming down myself to pick this order up and I will be complaining. I asked for a manager she then gave me a number and name Jenna. I went into the restaurant and there were my drinks sitting there soaked in sweat from being out on the counter I aksed for new drinks that were cold and my wings ... 10 mins went by and I called Jenna she then told me that this is her personal number... okay get mad at your staff for giving it out not me. She said im standing in my bathroom I just got out of the shower and proceeded to tell me that the Supervisor is so wonderful and she never gets a complaint so I told her today she is. While I was on the phone with this woman her super star supervisor decided to plank the wings down in front of me and rudely try and talk over me while I was on the phone. At this point I want a full refund on the entire order this was the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. After 30 mins I was able to return to work and eat my cold lunch because I had to deal with this crowd. She called me and told me she went above and beyond to give me a gift card for my order which they normally don't do. I said thank you I will pick up my gift card after work 430. When I went to pick up my gift card there was no one in the restaurant I stood there for 15 minutes a group of people done eating got up and waiting for their receipt and another man got up and approached me and asked me if I worked there ..... I said no and I dont think anyone else does either. A worker walked in for his shift and ignored me and went to his friends that he knew and served him I asked for my gift card so I could leave but got no response... I then asked for Jenna the manager because I put in a compliant today and im about to leave another. He said she will be in tonight. So I called her and the same worker that was there today appeared and he gave me my gift card while I was on the phone telling Jenna that no one was in the restaurant ... this staff member looked at me and said "thats not true, give it up and get out" I said excuse me it is true look at your cameras I could of taken ever bit of liquor you have behind the bar no one was here. Jenna the manager then said why do you care what my staff is doing ?. She said I dont kbow if you've worked in this field I said yes hunny I've actually worked at a jungle jims and no job I've ever had was it okay to leave it unattended. I had to hang up the phone on this Manager to stop the abuse.
I cannot believe my experience with this restaurant..... the owner needs to reevaluate who he has as a team. I will be getting a cash refund for my gift card as well because I will never and no one I know will ever be a customer to this awful awful awful jungle...
Read moreMy wife and I eat out enough to know the difference between a good and bad experience. I'm not one to complain about food unless it is clearly justified. I ordered a steak medium well (I always have medium well wherever I go, so I know what medium well should be like). I cut the steak, and it was completely red right through and blood running out of it. I showed it to my wife dripping from the end of the fork. At this time, the waitress sidled up and asked if everything was OK. I said well this should be MW. She offered to get me another one and I said no that's fine, I will eat it. Then she offered again to replace it, so I said ok fine. A few minutes later, the supervisor came over to say that, that's how MW is here at this JJ's. (Really? MW is MW, isn't it? Doesn't matter where you eat.) Anyways, the next steak came 20 minutes later, and it was cooked like beef jerky, dried completely out. It was well well done and not fit to eat. The waitress sidled up again and asked how it was. I said fine bc I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for another steak, and I would eat cardboard at this point. While this was happening, my wife (who worked at a JJ) had some nachos. There were about 15 chips on the plate and barely any cheese. Same deal, had them returned, and the SV came over to say that's how the nachos are here. After waiting, about triple of the nachos came back. After we were done eating, we had to wait 15 for the bill that we had to request twice. The restaurant was not even half full and not really busy for a JJ's. It was all around a very uncomfortable experience, and we felt like we were not wanted there. We will not be returning to this...
Read moreWent to the location downtown, George St in St. John's, service and food were ok for a Friday evening.
Ordered basic drinks, took forever for my daughters "chocolate milk" to come be brought out, almost 10 minutes after we got our drinks, a water and a Pepsi.
Daughter ordered Mineky Finger platter, but later felt sick, she has an allergy to fish and were wondering if they fry everything in the same oil. They also looked overcooked.
Fiance got kitchen sink as I said I would help her finish what she didn't want. Mostly good, taquitos, mozza sticks and wings were good. The pickle spears are terrible and soggy, the onion rings were way overcooked, and her wings didn't have much sauce.
I ordered the carnivore grill which includes wings, ribs and a steak with fries. I didn't have to tell them about sending back overcooked steal, they cooked it rare the first time, and it was decent. The ribs however... I would NOT suggest getting. They are obviously boiled or not being cooked right. I know because the fat wasn't rendered on them which would happen during boiling. If they were in fact grilled as advertised, the fat would have rendered, the ribs are placed on a grill to give them "grill lines" and probably to reheat. The flavor was lacking and the honey garlic sauce tasted watered down. Wings were decent but the sauce was poured over them instead of tossing them in the sauce.
Don't think we'll be visiting there again anytime soon. The novelty has worn off, menu has been reconstructed too many times, and the food...
