Kelly's pub was a wonderful place to visit. For my first time in st John's, how couldn't I visit George St. Right? The atmosphere on George St. Is unmatched and Wow I couldn't have picked a better pub, I hope the other pubs are similar in their hospitality. the environment at Kelly's was wholesome and welcoming, great live music even on a Thursday night. The food was great (usually when I hear the food is great I brush it off) but they were phenomenal and swift! the waitress was very helpful and attentive, the wide selection of local and imported beer was simply too many to name. As someone who's not a big beer enthusiast I had her surprise me with a few local beer and I was blown away. When leaving I had no problem at all flagging down a cab as they all line up and are ready to go, on the street beside the pub. Definitely a must if visiting St John's. In spite of going by myself I had a great time, the people around here are so friendly, a nightlife...

On Sunday Aug 3 my retirement party along with my friends moms 85 birthday party what we thought was booked for 45 plus people at a venue close by.,however , when we arrived the staff at this venue had no idea what we were talking about. They informed us they could not accommodate us even though the booking was made 10 days prior. We had 45 plus people arriving within the hour for this party at the venue. Panic set in. . Kellys Pub on George Street stepped up to the plate and welcomed at least 60 last minute guest . The staff went over and above for us. I cannot thank them enough for their help with pulling of these 2 milestone parties in such a short notice. The service , food , refreshments and music was top notch. . All the guest had a wonderful time. The staff were simply amazing and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Huge shout out to Kelly's Pub . Highly recommended. . They...

Once a good place to go for decent meal at an affordable price, it has sadly gone downhill since the pandemic. Recently went for steak night. The couple at the table behind us were complaining that it tasted burnt and charred, and the server basically blamed them for ordering it well done so it's going to taste burnt. We ordered ours medium rare, and ours tasted burnt as well. It was as if they had scraped the grill, but hadn't bothered to brush all the flakes of burnt grease away. When we mentioned to the server, she just told us they said they had cleaned the grill.

The last few times I've gone to Kelly's for a meal, I've left disappointed. I've crossed it off the list a few times and said I'll try it again, but after this last time, it's off the list for good. Its sad to see such a drop in quality from what was before a decent...

Foood is SOOO DELICIOUS! I had the fish and opted for onion rings... The onions rings were sooo crunchy and could not help but finish them first... I then ate the fish.. Boy the cod tasted so fresh! It is season too, so while we were sitting on the Patio on Saturday, we saw a huge order of freshly fillet cod being delivered! Hands down best fish and chips I've had in over a year being in NL. Service wasn't the best and when you are out on the patio, the music is way too loud. Just before we left the speakers were blown.. But go for the food, def...

We checked out this pub on our trip to St. John’s. A few pubs in downtown still served food at that time of the night, and Kelly’s was one of them. We ordered fish tacos and fish and chips, and had a few different drinks. Food and drinks were good but what impressed us the most was customer service. Eugene was friendly and made sure we had all we needed. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would go back next time we are in the area.
