Seems KELSYS management don’t reply to emails I’ll leave my complaint here so everyone can see. Came here with a party of 5 for my wife’s birthday and was seated immediately. The table we were placed next to was paying for their meals. After we were seated it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Then another 10 or so for our meals. I asked about the double bacon cheese burger, and how big the Pattie’s were. I was told 3 oz per Patty. So I asked to make it a triple burger and add another patty. Was told this was okay. I requested no cheese on my burger. After waiting close to an hour for our meals. My meal had arrived and there was 2 Pattie’s in the burger and one patty tossed on top of my fries. (All with cheese) I reminded the server that I requested no cheese. She said sorry and siad a new one will be made. She took the burger back and said she will leave the fires so I have something to pick at while I wait. She also left the third party on the fries. After about 10 minutes a new server came back with a new burger with 2 Pattie’s. I reminded her I asked for 3 Pattie’s. She told my I can just use the one on my fires (with cheese). NO THNAKS. I requested no cheese in the beginning. Also remember when I mentioned the table next to me was paying. (This table still haven’t been cleaned) well over an hour and we’re still sitting next to a dirty table. Back to the burger. They finally managed to fix the burger after the rest of the party was almost done eating. Not to mention my wife’s crispy chicken prices was complete mushy. My daughter ordered the same item and hers was fine. But my wife’s tasted like it was left in water overnight. Awful service, awful food, dirty atmosphere. Read moreToday my wife and I were dining in at the location in St. John's Newfoundland. This was our first visit to the store. We got a gift card for Christmas and ended up there today. We got seated pretty quickly our server Brad was really good. We ordered and it was at our table in a reasonable time frame. I order the big what burger because of the recommendation of Brad. When the burger arrived everything was still warm. When I went to eat the burger the bottom of my bun was soaked in the sauce or whatever the onions were in, (that is what we were told), Brad took the burger back and said they will make a new one. I was ok with this. About 5 minuted later Brad comes back to advise me that the kitchen staff were not making me a new burger but only giving me a new bun to put the old one on. This was not ok with me but according to Brad that was the only thing they could do for me. I never asked for the manager at this point because I was in a rotten mood and did not want to have a yelling match in the store. After Brad told me that the were only toasting me a new bun, it took another 10 minutes for the burger to com back out. I was not impressed with this, The bun was hot and the rest of the burger was cold as it was the old one... If I had to pay for this meal, with my own money and not a gift card I was have said something else.. I am very upset with the service of the kitchen and the kitchen manager to say that the only thing they could do was to give me a new bun and not a new burger. My family and I booked an evening reservation for a party of five. The dining area had one, maybe two other sets of guests being served, so it wasn't busy at all. Immediately, we noticed the lack of cleanliness. One of our chairs had lettuce from a previous meal left on it, the floors weren't clean, and the tables were sticky.
We had to ask for cutlery despite every other table in the restaurant having them. While not a big deal on its own, it added to the overall negative dining experience.
Regarding the food, I had one of their signature beef burgers which was fine, though I was disappointed by the small portion of onion rings, especially considering the price. One of my family members ordered wings and ribs. The only complaint there was that the ribs were overcooked, but still enjoyable. The rest of the party ordered nachos, and this is where the quality took a steep nosedive. The chips were cold, completely soggy, and unpleasant to eat. The cheese was clumped in a few areas, leaving some chips with no cheese and others with too much. My guess is that the chips were probably finished cooking before the more complex dishes and ended up sitting on a counter until everything else was ready. Overall, the meal was nowhere near worth what we paid.
Overall, it was a poor experience. If I could have left a negative tip, I would have. I believe in second chances, so I'd like to try this place again sometime in the future, but as it stands now, I won't be returning...
