Amazing customer service!

I ordered dinner for a friend who was trapped in a St. John's hotel because of a positive COVID case. Was trying to send her a nice warm meal, with some soup. I'm several provinces away, so used Skip the Dishes (Big Mistake!!!). The drive never bother to pick up the order, and it was sitting there at the restaurant getting cold.

The restaurant called me in Ontario to let me know the food had been waiting for pick up, and when Skip wouldn't do anything to fix the problem beyond refunding the money on my credit card (eventually - could take up to 10 days), the restaurant sent the food over to the hotel with their own delivery person.

It may not have been as hot as intended, but that's Skip the Dishes' fault. I'm sure it was better than cereal and cup a soup, which was my friend's alternative.

Was craving simple, authentic Chinese food for dinner and happened across Lucky House. Ordered the Sliced Tender Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, and Deep Fried Tofu and Vegetable. Impressed with the veg in each dish, cooked well and with the right amount of 'crunch' (gai lan, broccoli, carrots, etc.). Service was polite and food was brought out in a timely manner. And of course, the meal wouldn't be complete without a fortune cookie! We shared 2 dishes and a bowl of rice between two people, which was a good amount for dinner. Everything about this place is really great. It's quiet, quaint, and enjoyable in general. There's not much seating here though, looks like they do mostly take out. You can still sit down and have table service though. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The food came really fast. I ordered BBQ Pork fried rice and my girlfriend ordered the Singapore Noodles. Both dishes came out hot and fresh. The food was absolutely delicious. It was just so flavorful and satisfying. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for really good Chinese food at a decent price. Great Job...
