Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — Restaurant in St. John's

A big Kudos going out to employee, Paris, her manager, and all staff at Mary Browns, Topsail Road branch! I was just trying to make a special birthday for my beautiful hard working niece who just finished up a 12 hour (unpaid I will add) nursing clinical shift so she could come home and rest for her next day. Due to delays outside of their control (specifically uber eats and their unreliability with not one but two drivers) Paris successfully took charge and ensured a fresh meal was delivered! It is employees like these that need to be commended and appreciated! And for her to have the support of her manager was also amazing! In the end, it was worth the wait and the communication during was outstanding. Thank you all! I will also mention that they decided to refund my order which I do appreciate and did not expect, and will work with them to donate that to some less fortunate in our community. It was our first time ever eating Mary Brown’s chicken. We took forever to order because we did not know what we wanted to eat. The cashier was very patient and polite. We ordered Chicken Twists and a 4 piece chicken meal. They gave use 3 pieces of chicken instead of 4. We brought the box back to show them. They were very apologetic and brought us 2 pieces of chicken instead of 1. The manager came out to apologize after and asked us if we wanted more salad. We politely declined as we had plenty of food.

The original and spicy chicken were delicious. It was moist and tender. I didn’t care for the deep fried tortilla as it made it super greasy.

Well I love Mary browns and their food is awesome as always. I am regular customer at different Mary browns but this is the first time I was at this branch. The employees are super nice and welcoming, and always have a smile on their face. I got fresh and hot food, perfectly fried and seasoned. I had a wings combo. Maria is an excellent person who took my order. (I left a review on tellMarysmg as well) But unfortunately I can’t recall the other person who brought the food to me. No loud noise in the kitchen, and it was not crowded either. It was raining and windy out and I was having my meal with a peace of mind. Good environment and...
