This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Mary Brown's. I ordered a simple spicy 3 piece chicken with taters and asked the worker (at 9:50pm on Oct 12, slightly dark skinned Asian male) at the drive in to add spicy seasoning to the taters. He said they don't put the spicy seasoning on the taters and had to put it on the side. As ridiculous and simple it is to just provide some basic service, he gave me attitude about it, after I said other locations I've been to here do. He tells me he has to go to his manager... (again.. to sprinkle spice on the taters...) and comes back asking me what I want again. I repeated the order and I asked him if he will put the spicy, and gave me attitude again about doing it. This was already so unprofessional and ridiculous, but to top it off, he drenched both the chicken and the taters in spice to the point it was basically inedible. It was so caked on I had to dust what I could but it was still ridiculous. This is beyond unprofessional and shows a complete lack of care for customer service. It's baffling that something as simple as a seasoning request turned into such an ordeal. Instead of resolving the issue in a reasonable and polite manner, the employee not only gave me attitude but also sabotaged the food. The fact that I had to dust off seasoning just to attempt to eat it is beyond comprehension, bordering malicious. Edit: I had a stomach ache. He should be fired. It'd be like if a doctor dismissed a patient because they didn't like them. Absolute joke. Edit 2: It's been days since I sent them an e-mail to their likely generic e-mail and nothing's been followed-up. Useless pandering and awful customer service for this location.

Had to leave 1 star in order to leave a review. Otherwise its a 0 stars. I just spent $84 at your 61 Torbay Road location. The food I received was totally unacceptable for the amount of money spent. Both Big Mary's are far from "big" they are literally the size of chicken strips. Honestly, chicken strips are bigger. I am attaching pictures to show you what is being passed off as acceptable at your store. I called the store and was waiting for a manager to come to the phone. I was hung up on. I am VERY disappointed and will be letting people know what a terrible experience I have had and will not recommend. This is pure robbery and honestly its sad that the amount of money people spend on a meal and this is what's being given. Pathetic. This is not OK.

“I absolutely love coming to Mary Brown’s on Torbay Road! The food is always fresh, and the service is top-notch. Even though it’s not the closest location to me, I keep coming back because of the cleanliness and the fantastic customer service. Huge shoutout to Joyce, Shelley, Karen, and Swetlana – they go above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend this location for anyone craving great food and a welcoming atmosphere!”

1st: This restaurant was sold to-and is now operated by-KFC for at least a year or two. Amending the listing to reflect this change ought really to have been done back then. The listed phone number is still current, however.

Service: Excellent, friendly, helpful, courteous, yet respectful of my time

Food: Simple, deep-fried battered chicken and fries/taters. Gravy and a small selection of salads available, possibly a wrap, if memory serves ... Deep-fried food is tasty enough hot with enough condiments, but leaves a greasey coating in mouth and throat that really is difficult to clear. I really didn't enjoy the coleslaw at all, but that's probably just my personal take.

Beverages: Has a good, cold selection of soft drinks, perhaps other types, too.

Cleanliness: Tables aren't always wiped down right away as customers leave, but there are always some clean ones available.

Value: a bit pricey for what it is, but its' location practically guarantees I'll return periodically, usually in a pinch.

Other: Concerns submitted are taken very seriously and addressed post-haste. Basically, the staff is the very best asset here; it sure would be nice to be able to get air-fried food here &...

I hate to change my review from 5 to 1 star after 2 years. But this location has went down hill over the last few months. What is a piece of chicken?? Does a wing count? Does a breaded chicken spine with a bit of rib rage and a nibble of meat count? Does a breaded spine attached to a wing count? For 6 pieces of chicken, it costs about $25 with tax. Let's just say $4 per piece to keep it simple. Are any of the above "pieces" worth that? NO! there is not a person on the planet who would agree that this is worth it. On average, I get 2, maybe 3 if I'm lucky, proper pieces of chicken from a 6 piece. I'm not even sure why I keep buying it. Hope, I guess. I hope that one day I go and get 6 proper pieces of chicken like it used to be. PLEASE, PLEASE STOP!! Breading and selling me stuff that should be going in the trash. This is garbage, NOT food. You don't bread the spine and ribcage and sell it. A wing is also not a "piece." A wing attached to a piece of breast, yes, that's acceptable. But not alone. A wing is not worth $4! After this many disappointing experiences, I won't be returning here anytime soon. I will try...
