I used to go to this location all the time. Sometimes service was slow or my order would get lost, but it is close to my house, so a good place to go for coffee and cheaper than the place across the street. However, a few months ago, I had a bad experience here and I haven't been back since. It was a very rainy day and my car had broken down, so I walked (I also did not have any coffee at home). I was waiting for my order (which I had placed at the kiosk), and the lady at the counter asked, not terribly nicely, could she help me. Not if I had ordered, and not which order I was waiting for, both questions that I have been asked at this location before if I have been waiting for awhile (and in this case, I hadn't been here long). I said I had placed my order, at which point she stared at me blankly. The man preparing my order told her that it was an Americano and he was getting it. She was making assumptions about me because I was soaking wet. Look, all customers should be treated with respect, no matter who they are. It does not matter that I wasn't a homeless straggler because it should not have mattered what my status was if I was waiting quietly and legitimately. I was offended by the attitude and don't want to support the location any longer.
Edit: I came back after over a year, only to be treated badly today. The employees started my order and didn't finish it right away (I could hear them talking from where I was standing), said I should but offered something else (but I wasn't), debated whether or not my Americano was ok, and were generally more worried about talking to their friends who came in than serving customers. Back to Tim's it is - the slightly cheaper coffee...
Read moreMc donalds topsail road , sadly has gone down hill. It was once one of the fastest drive-thrus. Back when it was managed by Jessica Clements!! She really knew how to run the show. Knew where best to place newer employees, and where to station the senior employees.
Sadly , the last year or two it has been taken over by new Management. As a result I find when I go inside to order just one coffee or one ice cream cone I'm lucky if I get out with my order in less than a half-hour. If I go to the drive thru I do find a little faster because they seem to care a lot more about getting people through the drive-thru faster then the people actually the store. But even so I've been in that lineup 4 at least 20 minutes usually more each and every time.
However I must say McDonald's a paradise is absolutely amazing. I go to the drive thru and before I could even think of what I want they say hi how can I take your order in a very friendly manner. Once I made my order they're so fast that I don't even have the correct amount of money a out before they have their hand out to collect the payment LOL.
Then before I have time to put the change and my receipt in my purse, I could see someone at the last window waiting for me to get there to give you my food I'm all say they are very quick and usually quick results and slap together food and drinks but not but not in this case. I find everything I get from there is exactly what I ordered and tastes absolutely perfect this is...
Read moreNever again, I can write a book with all the bad experiences I have had at this store. The service was slow in drive thru, ok, maybe they were short staffed, fair enough, I can deal with that. Missing my Big Mac (with bacon of course) from my order, ok, people make mistakes, again, I can deal with that, make the order again so your customer had a nice hot order when they leave your store. I learned this little bit of customer service when I was 16 years old (working at McDonald's I might add). I was very polite about bringing back my food, a lot nicer than the average person is (I know how it feels to be on the receiving end of an unruly customer, I won't be that guy)
But to tell your customer that they are not making the order again, only the Big Mac, because we are too busy...
that is something I cannot deal with
I drove home with the order, drove all the way back with my order (some twenty minutes have passed at this point), sat in drive thru another 10 minutes to be told I will only have one warm product for my family, they have to eat the cold dinner that would not be replaced because they were too busy??
That kind of customer service will make me never to grace the door steps of this Store ever again. Good help is hard to find, but it all starts with who you have running the show, the supervisors, the leader. I don't think I seen any of those kind of people at this...
