Extremely disappointed!
Started with the drink menu, not good. The waitress didn't offer the drink special for the evening because they were all out of the beer. I had to ask was there a similar substitute,(some restaurants offer that) she had to check and they did offer a substitute. That's the only thing that was ok. As for my choice of beer, apparently the delivery wasn't made today and they were out of bud light draft. Imagine, out of a local product. You think that the manager would of went hisself or sent someone to get a Keg to get through the night. Oh well.
We then started with an appetizer, had the spinach dip. Looked great when it laid in front of us, only until my wife saw a hair in it. Disgusting! The server said she would get another. That was fine, but left the other on the table until new one came out. Not what you want left on the table. The manager said they won't charge for the hairy spinach dip.But 5 minutes later, she brought a new one and took the hair back to the owner in the kitchen.
We then had our meal. Two burger meals with baked potato, one chicken tacos, BBQ brisket with fries, chicken tenders meal, and a smokehouse wrap meal.
Two burger were dry and one of the baked potatoes was slightly hard in the middle. Not at all hot, it wouldn't melt the butter.
My daughter said her chicken tacos were ok, they didn't wow her.
The smokehouse wrap was bland and dry.
The chicken tenders were extremely spicy
The only meal that was ok was the BBQ brisket......and the half dozen drinks we had.
At a price tag of $184. We were so disappointed with the quality of food, temperature, portions, menu selections and overall taste.
Montana's was once my go to. But after this meal, I won't be back.
I have had another experience 5-6 years ago with another restaurant. The company had forwarded my email to the manager. The manager personally called me to discuss the situation. We spoke for 30 minutes on the phone. She listened to me and valued my feedback. She then insisted that my wife and I come back and that she wanted to make it right, and I got to say that, she did. "The Keg" listened to the issue and corrected it. They went above and beyond. I hope Montana's listens.
Sorry Montana's, but I don't need nor do I expect anything or a replacement in return. Your quality and style that I have had in the past has hit an all time low. I just hope you listen to your...
Read moreI took my husband and our youngest daughter out for dinner on a Saturday evening around 7pm. Maybe I should have called ahead to make a reservation but I figured it probably wouldn't be too hard to get a table for the three of us; won't make that mistake again. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that there would be a 20 minute wait for the next available table, which was quite reasonable considering we had no reservation. We gave our name and cellphone number so they could message us when our table was ready. To kill time while we waited we walked across the parking lot to the gas station and purchased a few necessities. Before we even got half way back through the parking lot there was a message on my phone saying our table was ready. Wow! A 20 minute wait turned out to be more of a 5 minute wait. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, portions were large. The servers were very attentive, coming by the table several times during our meal to see if everything was going well and if there was anything else we might need like a refill on our drinks or dipping sauces or desserts. Overall we had a great time. Good food at reasonable prices served by friendly, caring staff in a relaxed open atmosphere. The one thing I would change is the menu. Not a very large selection of meals to be had. I believe I may have only seen one pasta dish there and that was the macaroni and cheese that my husband ordered. He was not a fan of it and decided that he probably should have ordered a steak or something like that because it is hard to...
Read moreUpdate: I want to thank the management for understanding that there were issues that made our experience not completely satisfactory. I am sorry that it took me so long to acknowledge your listening to your clients and trying to remedy any problems. Again thank you very much. Be safe and God Bless.
Well the first thing I noticed upon being seated in a booth with my family, was the mounds of dust all over anything overhead. We had come here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. First impressions, what a huge disappointment. Who relishes having grimy dust droppings falling into their food. One would think that when restaurants were closed due to Co-vid they would have the opportunity to do some long overdue major cleaning. I guess it never crossed their minds because they probably don't eat there or maybe they just never bother to look up. Next we had a snippety waitress. OMG. Things that we asked for she instantly forgot. After waiting awhile and then making a second request she rudely responded back to us like it was our fault that she couldn't remember our order or request. The restaurant was not even that busy. As for the food, I did enjoy my large BBQued beef rib. The rest of my family said there food was okay. We didn't order dessert because I didn't want to deal anymore with the mountains of dust nor the obnoxious waitress. Won't be returning here anytime in the future. So sad because some Montana's have wonderful service, food and a clean...
