Read moreThe ceilings weren't cleaned, moldy dust over the vents 5 feet above the side tables. Was asked if we needed anything and replied, however, would take 15 to 20 mins to get it. No water served as a guarantee. No forks knives or napkins for half the table. When asked for cutlery was delivered only forks (no knives or napkins). 3rd time around finally got it all. Food was okay, 6/10 in compared to the Kenmount location. We entered at 6. People at 6:10 were told it'd be 45 mins or more to have a table ready, they turned down a few people at the door because of no tables ready, however, The table next to us with 8 left at 6:20, took them until 7:20 to clean it. There was 5 hostesses doing next to nothing at front counter, and one manager floating around. The girl serving us was very busy and not her fault, but mostly the lack of urgency or service from the entire team there. 2 people at the table ordered apps to give the entire table, when splitting bills they assumed it should have been just split between the 4 bills and not the people who ordered it and wanted to pay. As compensation for waiting from 7:01 to 7:38 to pay, and all the service issues, they gave us 20% off, which didn't even cover the cost of the bill errors made. Our bill should have been like $33, we paid like $32.45. The managers response was "if this was such a bad service you shoulda asked for a manager sooner", but after waiting 18 mins for our bill, we did ask. Read more*update jan/'19 re: Montana's Stavanger Drive My experience this particular time is just another example supporting my lack of desire to put my money into restaurants here in St. John's. It proves that there is absolutely no consistency in this city (where my main basis of opinion lays). My reviews prove it.
This review came hesitantly because I chose to contact the restaurant manager before writing this.
Scenario: ordered a pickup order over phone for 2 entrees (the app wouldn't work), was told 25 minutes. Arrived on time, waited an additional 20 minutes. Get home---the "loaded" mushroom chicken had 2 mushrooms; my medium-well steak was red, and the butter was not even melted on my baked potato (pics will be included). I had to actually microwave both my steak and potato. I could have done that with what I have in my fridge. Not impressed, so I called, bc that employee is probably still present--mgmt address your staff! Ok, so the AGM that night told me she had already given out soo many compensations, and would be in touch with me that Monday when district manager was also in town. That would have been Jan 28, 2019. Today is Feb. 6, 2019. Hence, my review. Haven't heard a word from anyone.
