A Disappointing First Visit to Moxie's

Last night, my husband and I, accompanied by another couple, decided to try out Moxie's for the first time. Unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired.

Upon ordering an appetizer to share, we were surprised to find that plates and cutlery were not provided until a few minutes after the dish was delivered. This initial hiccup set the tone for the evening.

While my husband and I enjoyed our meals, the other couple ordered steaks. The medium steak arrived well-done, and we were informed by the food runner that there had been an incident in the kitchen, resulting in the need for a remake. Unfortunately, this meant that three of us had nearly finished our meals by the time the last one was delivered.

Throughout the dining experience, our waitress failed to inquire about the quality of our food after the appetizer, and she neglected to ask if we wanted refills. While she did take the initiative to discount the affected meal and remove a glass of wine from the bill, the overall service did not meet our expectations.

Given the premium prices at Moxie's, we anticipated a higher standard of service. In the event of a mistake like the one with the steak, we would have expected a manager to visit our table and offer a sincere apology. Unfortunately, this level of customer service was lacking.

While the food quality for two of us was satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by service shortcomings. We hope that Moxie's takes steps to improve their customer service to match the premium dining experience they aim to provide. Needless to say we won't be back, first impressions are so important and ours was so disappointing.
