One of the most disappointing companies I’ve ever supported. I loved the Newfoundland donut company at first when they were out by the airport. But the more and more I come back to their brick and mortar location, the more and more I’m disappointed in the staff and food quality. You can tell some days you are being given day-old or even older donuts.(Which I wouldn’t mind if I was told. Some days they do most days they don’t) They tell you they're baked fresh every day, but you get a pack of 6, and 2 of them are hard as a rock, and the rest are soft and fluffy?! And the lack of respect for some of their customers is unfathomable. I’ve personally never had an issue, but while sitting in the booth, some of the conversations I have overheard from the staff talking to each other from the kitchen are just outright disrespectful talking bad about people who just walked out the door, their own staff, and in some cases, even whole groups of people. I always brushed these off as odd events and outliers, but the more I come, the more I’ve heard. It’s just really disappointing that this queer-owned, women-owned business I was so excited about keeps showing its true colors in the worst of ways. I’ve heard a lot more hearsay about the company from friends but won’t include any of that as it’s not from personal experience.
TLDR; Donuts are great when FRESH. Staff can be outright disrespectful tho. Will miss...
Read moreLongtime and frequent patrons of this business that will not be returning. Second weekend in a row we have been sold RAW DOUGHnuts. Brought the product back today (last weekend, we thought maybe just an off day) only to be offered a replacement, no offer to be compensated for the uncooked garbage products we overpaid for on May 17. We were given a $10 gift card. This barely covers the cost of 1.5 donuts. Considering last weekend’s unfit products, and again today, this is unacceptable way to conduct business, as it is a food safety issue. At the egregious price of almost $40 for 6 doughnuts, I expect much better product,...
Read moreNewfoundland Donut Co. is seriously amazing! My personal favorite is the caramel cheesecake donut. Would have no problem eating an entire box. I love that they have a huge variety of flavors to choose from and eventually plan to try them all! They've only been open for a short amount of time and you can already tell the amount of hard work and dedication they've put in to making their donuts better and better. They really listen to customers and apply that feedback into their donuts. I'm lucky enough to have met the owners and its obvious how passionate they are about what they do. Great people and...
