Starbucks — Restaurant in St. John's

My nephew returned to the table with some drinks. His was all ice. I suggested he go up and let them know that the drink was all ice and he wanted a drink, but his was all ice. He returned a minute later with the same drink.

I then went with him to the counter. The guy behind the counter was more concerned about the fact that we did not specify light ice than he was about the fact that the cup was completely filled with ice and very little drink. I will give him the fact that my nephew did sip on it while waiting for my sister's drink — no issue with that. After receiving a lecture on how to order a drink with light ice, the guy turned away and, as he was walking away, said he would make a new one. Just the difference would have been sufficient.

The attitude the guy behind the counter spoke with was quite unprofessional, from the moment we walked up to the counter, which is enough for me to not reccommend this location. He did return very quickly with a replacement drink, stating this was light ice, but then continued to lecture on how to properly order a drink with light ice — with the tone that we should know that regular ice means pay for a drink, but receive a cup of ice. The new drink had, what I would consider by any other restaurant standards, regular ice.

My nephew did enjoy the drink, so I will give it 2 stars, but for the interaction/attitue from the employee, absolutely 0 star. No matter how tired or stressful the day may be, remaining professional and respectful should always be a priority. Educate customers, but don't lecture them like a kid who didn't do their homework for the 12th...

The staff at this location are some of the nicest people on the planet. Ash is the only one I know the name of, but they are just incredible. They are the sweetest ever when working cash and if you get a drink made by them it is your lucky day!! They always taste extra scrumptious. There are two other outstanding members working there I've noticed; frog tattoo guy and super cool hat guy. Unfortunately I haven't caught their names but both are so personable, so hardworking and do an amazing job making drinks! Really love stopping at this location to start my day or to finish a shift because I know the service, drinks and staff will be amazing. The new location is totally accessible, looks really nice and despite being open for a while now still looks super tidy and clean. Bravo Avalon...

usually dont have a problem with this starbucks but today while in line i witnessed an employee who was ordering a drink for themselves and got very upset and disrespectful towards his coworker who was misunderstanding what he was ordering. he began to yell, become rude and then proceeded to make fun of/seem like his coworker was stupid by talking to another coworker who was making drinks. the employee on cash was not provoking the behaviour of his coworker who was ordering, he was quiet and simply just asked a question. i do no know if the one ordering is apart of management at this starbucks but i was amazed by how this guy could just talk down to his...
