Subway — Restaurant in St. John's

This review is towards the subway in the Avalon mall. I rarely give negative reviews except when I have such a negative experience. I was at the mall and figured I should grab some food before going to work so I figured might as well grab something quick and thought of subway. First of all, the employees were being very rude to the person in front of me but arriving there after she started ordering, I didn’t know if maybe she did something to provoke it. Anyways, I told them the sub I wanted and they were equally as rude to me. Flash forward to me trying to pay. I simply asked if I could redeem my points if I didn’t have my card (like look up my card in their system), I would have been fine with a no for the answer but she told me “you can use your points but can’t redeem if you don’t have your card”. Now, I got slightly confused. To me, use and redeem are synonymous and to collect points would be the other term I would use to describe accumulating more... so I verified that I couldn’t redeem my points and just collect them, and the cashier corrected me and said that I couldn’t collect or redeem but just use my points .... i tried to shrug it off and decide I would just Pay with my debit and then the worker even had trouble understanding that. At that point I was done. I tapped my card and waited for the approval message and walked away. As much as I enjoy subway, I think I’m going to go to one of the other 15 restaurants that can provide better...

Went there tonight @ 8:30pm to pick up 2 subs before work. Bought a footlong steak and cheese and 6 inch teriyaki chicken. Here's all of what was wrong:

1. One server on staff with 5 people in lineup. While it was 8:30pm this is a very busy area of the city with most businesses being open til at least 9pm. I believe I saw a 2nd person on staff as I was leaving but they weren't making sandwiches or cashing people out. They were out back. Staff your business properly.

2. I used a BOGO (Buy one, get one) coupon for the 6 inch sub. When the cashier rang it in it came to over $20. With my footlong ($10) and the combo (3) I knew this was too much. I said to the cashier/sandwich maker that this was too much. His response was that no since I was getting a 6" for free he had to ring the footlong in as 2 6" as well. As the buy one is a 6 inch and a footlong is not a 6 inch. Ridiculous!

3. When I got to work and bit into the sandwich it was immediately noticeable that something was gone bad. I believe it was either the lettuce or the banana peppers but something was gone bad.

So not only was I overcharged, I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth (literally) and no food for my midnight shift. Horrible experience and will never be back. There is plenty of food decisions in this area. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere with edible food that doesn't try to rip the...

THIS IS FOR KELSEY DRIVE SUBWAY !!!My husband and I went here tonight and it was the worst service I have ever had at a Subway .. we are used to eating at the Subway in Gander Newfoundland.. Wow what a difference..They could learn a few things from them .. we were eating in and the girl more less threw everything on the counter I told we were eating in and she handed me a basket .. put her fingers inside the cups .. The young man that was working was friendly , but he didn’t serve us .. not sure if it’s the language barrier or what it is .. but it needs to be fixed .. also the food counter where all your choices are was terrible , not...
