Had an overall negative experience trying Sushi & Noodle Nami today. Came here for lunch with my husband for his break at work. Took over 30 minutes just to get a few glasses of water. Had to ask when the waters were empty (after 1 hour of waiting) for a refill. We waited over an hour and a half for our order of 2 soups and pork wontons. We were also not given an update by the server as to how long it would take to receive our food. The wontons were cold when they came to the table. We ate them anyways because we were starving. The flavors were good, just not warm at all. The Beef Pho broth didn't have much more flavor than beef stock from a box. Adding hot sauce and hoison did little to save it. The meatballs tasted like Styrofoam. The noodles, onion, and beef brisket were good. The Hokkaido Winter soup was a bit better. The slices of tofu were quite large, and there was only 2 shrimp and 4 pieces of squid in the dish. Was expecting a little more seafood and less tofu, but that could be a personal preference. The server did give us a 15% discount for the slow service which was appreciated. She was kind in her demeanor and seemed to geniunely feel bad about the wait. I'm not sure if we would go out of our way to go back, as we've had better service and food at other establishments. My recommendation to the owner would be to add more staff for busy times to create a better experience for guests.

TLDR: Foods amazing. Service as well. Will be returning. I had the seared tuna. Which they served sliced very lovely and plated well. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Also had the salmon eggs nigiri. Which was incredible. The rice was well seasoned. Really good rice! The eggs were amazing as well though!! Marinated to perfection! I also had a bowl of their Pho which was also very good. My dining companion had the wonton noodles. BIG portions here for the price. Which I didn't complain about. :) The waitress was very kind and attentive 5/5! One of the chefs even spent a few minutes enlightening me on how he got the salmon roe to taste so good. lol Awesome little spot and one of my favorites in St.john's now.

Noodle Nami is a delightful culinary spot! From the moment you step inside, though less spacious the inviting atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a fantastic meal. The menu offers a fantastic array of noodle dishes, fusion choices, each bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I especially loved the spicy noodle soup—they were perfectly balanced and had just the right kick! One downside is it was a bit salty. The California roll was soaked with oil 😞. Other than that, the staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a noodle aficionado or just looking for a tasty meal, Noodle Nami is a must-visit to try more of their delicious offerings!

Usually we have a good experience at Noodle Nami. Tonight, not so much. Our waitress was inattentive. Didn't come back to check on us. Only refilled our water once. Came back to refill our water a second time but when she got to the table she realized the water jug was basically empty. She said she would be right back. The other two tables of resturant patrons got up to leave and she helped them pay. Many minutes later she came back over to our table and asked us if we needed anything else. We asked if there was any black sesame ice cream. She said yes. We asked for 3 to go please. She said sorry, the kitchen closed at 9. The time was 9:04. If she had come back over when she said she would we would have been able to order before the apparently very strict 9 pm kitchen closing time. Also, why did she ask us if we need anything else just to tell us we cannot have it? Going forward I feel that wait staff should notify restaurant patrons when kitchen closing time is approaching if they are going to be so strict. Communication is important. We were looking forward to our ice cream and unfortunately left the restaurant...

This was my go to sushi spot but things are going downhill. First incident was getting a call from the restaurant asking me to come back, i was given the wrong order. Then my daughter received spicy pork tonkatsu when she ordered not spicy. They admitted fault when we returned for non spicy. I then noticed on another order that the sashimi quality was off, some of it was smelly and ive not ordered sushi there since. My daughter picked up an order there more recently and halfway home with her order, she gets a call from the restaurant saying she was given the wrong order, she had to go back. 20 minute supper delay and they took the extra items meant for someone else. Her supper was, they should have just given her the food and made fresh for...
