Bad attitude cold drinks after asking specifically for extra hot latte and mocha. My wife previously worked as a barista and was shocked to see that our original drinks were reheated with the steamer wand instead of making the effort to make new drinks. Ordered a sesame salmon bagel came with a plain bagel. Would have given 0 stars but not a choice. Not a good welcome to St John’s NL. Worst customer service we have had on our journey across Canada.👎🏻👎🏻

Response from the owner Hi Kenneth, we're sorry you had a bad experience. We spoke with the barista in question and the drink was made new, not reheated. We hope that you have better customer service experiences elsewhere.

Oh it is very interesting that your business has so many poor reviews and you have not taken the poor reviews to heart. If you want to provide quality customer service you may need to train your staff to provide an inviting atmosphere. When a person takes the time to give a review it would be advisable to believe the customer and not the Barista or the person on the order intake position. Please in the future give your customers a bit more respect. My wife and myself have a philosophy we always give credit if the service person is competent and polite. Unfortunate this is not the case with you and your staff. Poor attitudes start...

We initially stopped by on a Sunday, following a hike of Signal Hill. Unfortunately, we were 10 minutes too late. A very kind gentleman was cleaning up outside and informed us it was closed but told us to come back the next morning and he would give us a treat. He also offered us water. We were leaving the area to explore the Burin Peninsula, the next morning so didn’t have the opportunity to drop back, but the following Sunday, we found ourselves in St. John’s again and made sure to go for lunch. So glad we did!

I had the Chimmy Chicken sandwich with Carrot Ginger soup, and an iced latte. It was one of my favourite lunches on our trip to Newfoundland. We loved the atmosphere, friendly staff, and our meal. Very casual place with an outside walk up window and some outside seating and small dining area. The inside dining area you place your order at the counter and they deliver to your table.

I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Parking looks to be a little tricky but we were staying within walking distance so didn’t have to worry about it. It would absolutely be a great way to end a hike of Signal Hill, just pay attention to their...

So far, it is the only decent barista cafe in downtown, perfectly located uphill on the way to Signal Hill, bohemian atmosphere. The service and attitude are good. Unfortunately, my experience with food was unpleasant , I asked for a salmon bagel, just the salmon, and put just a bit of mustard, after some delay on the delivery of my order, which waited patiently, it seems the guy from the kitchen squeezed the whole bottle in.

I come from Riviera Maya / Tulum, a cosmopolita town with a world-class high standard of service and food.. as a businessman, I understand how hard it is to run and keep alive a business these days, taxes, municipal control, staffed shortage, high cost, and so on..

I tipped with the 25% of my bill in order to encourage the staff and the business but dissatisfied with the "naivity " of the kitchen.

I am not complaining about the price, not even for the size of the bagel.

I fell in love with New Foundland, and since I m able to manage my businesses from anywhere around the globe, I am looking to come back here for 3 months during summer time.

Hopefully, this review will help to improve the quality of...
