Look no further, you've found one of the best pubs in St. John's! Never mind the fabulous LIVE MUSIC every night with no cover, or the MOST BEERS ON TAP in the entire province or the wicked deck, just try to find a more friendly, welcoming staff and owners who don't hesitate to go out of their way to ensure their patrons have a ton of fun! These guys are creating a community of loyal customers and I am lucky to count myself as one. Since Niall, Brendan and Nick took over ownership it's become my go-to at any time of day or any day of the week because I'm assured an excellent experience every time. Oh, they also have deadly food - it's not fancy, its' just delicious, hearty, homemade and good value - once again, ticking all the boxes! I bring a lot of tourists here every summer on live music tours and it's hands down their favorite venue. Many of them become repeat customers while visiting St. john's and they all comment on the great time they had at The Embassy. Their drink specials are curated with care and consideration and I have to say every single one I've tried was delicious! Ask for a Lar's White Rusiian! I've heard it said more than once that the place feels like home, even the first time you go, so do yourself a favour and check out this gem of a bar. The music, people, atmosphere, food and drink will quite possibly turn you into a regular too!

The four of us had an enjoyable evening but we did not have any ice cream! :) it use to be the home or Lar’s Fruit Mart. I do miss Lar’s but times do change. There are two floors to the place but I cannot comment on the second floor since I only went up to go to the bathroom. I had the bacon wrapped scallops which were cooked correctly. They were good. I would like a better selection of brown and dark beers but I understand they must cater to the locals. It was a great place to meet up with old army friends and have a quiet night.

This place was awsome. We spent 5 days is St John's and ended up at the Newfoundland Embassy Pub every night. The live music (Mackenzie Critch) brought us in but the friendly atmosphere kept us coming back. The owner Niall was super fun and friendly (as well as his friends) and has done a great job making this the "Friendliest Little Pub in the North Atlantic". If you want some fresh air there is a nice patio on the second floor. All the spots we went to in St. Johns where nice but the Embassy Pub was a keeper.

WOW!!

Where does one start. Wow!! Walk in the door super warm greeting from everyone. First thought. Walk in the door a clean scent. One can tell owners take care. Massive plus!!!!! Sat at the bar lovely conversationalist Bar tender ( owner as I found out later ) makes one feel at home in his kitchen or dining room or living room. For sure, a very close-knit community as anyone that came in I was introduced to. Wow, an amazing feel. Ordered the Turkey Club. Hands down..... best Turkey Club sandwich ever. ( I eat a proper club any chance I can, and this is hands down the best. KUDOS to the chef, outstanding job done ) so a Turkey is freshly roasted here every day if not second day. Then, to make a real proper Turkey Soup. The scents wafting out of the kitchen were amazing. ( again Wow don't let this chef go ) Beers.... well, ( 25 taps on hand at any point ) No doubt the usual bottle and can on hand. I've enjoyed a few IPAs but their flagship Ambassador Lager..... outstanding. Light n very easy drinking. Washrooms spotless. All around, they truly take care of keeping the place dust free and scent free. When I was there, the owner cleaned the fan / light fixtures over the bar. Amazing!! That is unheard of. I travel the world, and I cannot remember a cleaner place. Bar spotless. Not a sign of a fruit fly or any other flying critter. These people care. And It shows. If one truly wants to feel the Real Newfoundland hospitality... come here. You for sure will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon. It may have been a grey day in St John's, but wow, the Sun Shone through your establishment!! Look forward to...

There is a heavily tattooed girl with very heavy makeup that works at your establishment and a very tall girl that looks like a linebacker with medium length dark hair that also works there. They are both very rude and very condescending. The tall girl that looks like a linebacker was working at this bar one afternoon when my mother and I came in to get a drink. There were probably 4 other people at the bar she completely ignored myself and my mother and continued to talk to the 4 other men seated at the bar. When I said to her excuse me she turned around and snapped at me and told me to wait my turn. We waited for a while and then the other girl with the heavy tattoos and make up came behind the bar took out her phone and started doing something on that. She acknowledged that me and my mother were there never even asked us if we wanted anything and continued on her phone when the other girl kept yapping away to the four other guys that were there. There was no one else at the bar. My mother spoke up and the tall linebacker girl snapped at her again and said excuse me I’m still busy all the while miss tattoo was still on her phone. I never saw so much ignorance or rudeness in all my life. My mother and I ended up not getting served and ended up leaving. For you to call yourself the nicest little pub in North America or what ever it is that’s certainly the biggest lie...
