Good Coffee and Convenience—but Hygiene & Service Need Attention
I’ve been a Tim Hortons Thorburn customer for last 2 years—mostly because there’s one right near location, making it super convenient. But something this time finally pushed me to write a review.
Whenever I come—hundreds of times—I’ve noticed employees handling food (sandwiches, bagels, etc.) without gloves or visible hand‑washing. Until now, I let it go. But today, I thought: this needs to change. Management should really come in and see how things are being handled.
Beyond hygiene, the staff’s attitude is also concerning. Many of the girls working at the food station seemed disengaged—no gloves, no smiles, minimal customer interaction. It felt as if customer service wasn’t a priority.
I get that service can get busy, but hygiene and friendliness shouldn’t be overlooked. A simple smile and gloves (or proper hand‑washing) would go a long way in making customers feel confident and welcomed.
Despite these issues, I still enjoy the coffee and the easy access this location provides. I hope management addresses these concerns—visits during peak hours, implements a glove or hand‑wash policy, and encourages a friendlier front‑line...
Read moreI really like this Tim Hortons as it is so close to my house. It's cheap, convenient, and most importantly; DONUUUTS! (and there's coffee too but I don't drink coffee). There is a wide range of food products and drinks for all ages. If you come here you will probably leave happy. I say probably for a reason, though. A fair amount of times I've been here and ordered something just for them to not have it made or there's a machine broke. Not just that, but sometimes they have such a lack of energy or happiness. They mummble their voice and repeat the usual "Is that all?" way too much. Like, I know you don't want to be there and you don't want me here, same goes to you, but atleast slow down trying to finish my order and make me leave. I don't know; it could just be how I perceive words and actions and I'm taking it the wrong way. But anyway, it is perfect if you just want to get something to eat or drink real quick (although you might not get what you wanted). There's definitely better Tim Hortons you could go to but this one isn't the worst, either. 4/5 stars. (I added a random picture of my hot...
Read moreI recently visited this location and had an incredibly frustrating experience. I asked for a cup of hot water and two creams on the side, but the employee, Abinandhan, rudely refused and told me that I could only get cream if I purchased a coffee. This was completely ridiculous and unacceptable.
I explained that I had worked at Tim Hortons before and had never heard of such a policy. Instead of providing a clear answer, he argued with me and refused to explain why. Feeling frustrated, I went to another Tim Hortons location, ordered the exact same thing, and received excellent service without any issue—they even confirmed they had no such policy.
It is outrageous that one location makes up its own rules while others follow proper customer service standards. This kind of inconsistent and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, and I demand a response from management immediately. Why was I denied something that other locations provide without hesitation?
I expect someone from corporate to contact me ASAP to...
