Wok Box - Kelsey Drive — Restaurant in St. John's

The smell coming from this place was phenomenal. I ordered chicken Pad Thai with chow mein, Mongolian beef and broccoli on rice, and butter chicken on rice. The Mongolian beef was our favorite by far despite the broccoli being almost raw. The beef is tender and I really like the sweet sauce. The Pad Thai tastes too strongly of tamarind for us, unfortunately. The butter chicken was ok but I wouldn't get again. We were not fans of the texture of the chicken in either dish. Went here a few months ago and ordered the sweet Mongolian and it tasted burnt, as though someone hadn't cleaned the grill properly for quite a while. I filled out a customer complaint on the Wok Box website, which was never acknowledged.

Decided to try again yesterday and ordered the sweet Mongolian again. I placed the order with Skip the Dishes for pickup. Got back to the office with my lunch and realized they had forgotten the beef, so I paid $15 for a bowl of soggy vegetables and noodles with no protein.

I'll take my hard-earned money...

Absolutely disgusted. I have been a loyal customer of Wok Box since they opened in NL. Today, I asked my husband to pick me up a sumo order of Teriyaki ribbon noodles with tofu and a little bit of Dan Dan sauce on the side from the Kelsey Drive, St. John’s location. What he came home with was a box of ribbon noodles. Hardly a trace of Teriyaki sauce. Maybe a third of the tofu and vegetables I would normally get.
