Went here before our flight back to Toronto. Had a great server, great beer (even though they ran out of a few) and amazing food!!! loved the Yellowbelly Pale Ale, and my fiancé loved the Cherry IPA. I wasn't overly hungry so l ordered the Sicilian Arancini which was fantastic, I can see why it's a house favourite! Loved the aioli that came with it as well. My fiancé got the Salt & Vinegar fish and chips and loved it!! Definitely worth showing up a little early for your flight to kill some time here! Theres one downtown St. John's as well! Big downfall to this particular location is it gets SUPER crowded with everyone’s luggage’s being all over the place. But bonus points for having Mr. Bean playing on the TV

Got diverted to this airport this evening along with several hundred other tired and hungry passengers. The two people working the front handled the sudden influx with grace. I ordered the fish n chips with poutine and my husband got the chicken fingers. We tried a few different beers on draft. Everything was great. My fish was fresh and crispy, and the poutine was very tasty. My husband ate the chicken fingers happily. They had great music playing and a great attitude to go along with it. Thanks to the staff and chefs at this place, our mood shifted in a good direction. I’ve never been to St John’s or NF but now I’d like to come back if the people and food are this good.

We got a chance to try YellowBelly Brewery at the St. John’s airport last week. We have been to the downtown location many times, and we have always been happy with the food and service. I have to say this visit was no different. As far as airport food goes, it was on point. We ordered a fries dressing and gravy, poutine, nachos and an order of cod bites. Everything came out fast, cooked well and tasted fresh. Prices overall were reasonable and service was ok. Definitely one of the better meals we have had at an airport. Worthwhile to check out YellowBelly’s on your next visit to St.Johns.

This is a decent pit-stop while waiting for your flight. Granted there isn't much space or options for anything else in the airport. It is cool to see a local brewery as the mainstay restaurant in St. John's International.

The restaurant fills up fairly quickly closer to flight departures. Service can be slow at that point, but the food is very good. There are quite a few heavy dishes on the menu, so it left little choice, especially as a vegetarian for anything on the lighter side. It is nice that they offer shareable menu items like nachos and fried pickles.

The biggest drawback is the difficulty to hear airport announcements while in the restaurant. You can barely hear the PA system inside. This can be an inconvenience if there's a gate change, paging, or any other changes and delays in flights. Be mindful of your time and aware of where you need to go prior to entering.

Try a flight of beer if you are looking to have some good brews! The St. John's Stout and Irish Red...

Went for a quick breakfast before our flight, and ordered 2 breakfast plates. Prices were rather high, but we understand to some extent that that is the way things are these days. However the total bill came to $65 for two adults to have breakfast and some coffee. The waitress came and asked if we wanted a "top up" on our coffee, which we gladly accepted. Upon reviewing the bill, however, we were charged for each pour at $4 each! Considering we did not get a full coffee, only a top up, we were disappointed that we were charged for it. Quite frankly $16 for what equated to one mug of coffee didn't seem right. We've never before been charged for a top-up or refill for coffee at any restaurant, and at the very least we could have been told that a top-up would cost more money. Food was subpar. Some of the bacon was burnt. Others were not cooked at all. Eggs were rubbery, toast was cold. And the end we were resentful for paying $65 for what cannot even be considered a sub-...

People who work there are great…. However, the Yellowbelly owner should go back (or go in the first place) to business school. First time I tried going with some colleagues, they had to stop accepting patrons as they’re short staffed due to COVID. AKA, they underpay their employees so no one wants to drive out to the airport to barely make ends meet. Thought I’d give it another shot today… Bad idea. I got in after waiting for 15 minutes (restaurant was not busy, only a few employees), sat at the bar and ordered / paid for my food as soon as I sat down to expedite the process. 20 minutes pass and the bartender says they lost my order. By this time I couldn’t wait and had to leave for my flight. At least the gentleman was nice enough to let me take a granola bar for my fully paid meal.

If the owners read this, DO BETTER. You can’t use COVID as an excuse for your poor ownership and management.

Highly recommend eating prior to coming to the...
