We went to PEI as a birthday vacation and decided to stop here for dinner. My girlfriend has food restrictions that doesn't allow her any seafood or meat. The only vegetarian option was veggie tacos which she was very excited about. However, the tacos were less than satisfying. All it was was sauteed carrots, bell pepper and onion in oil, maybe some salt and pepper, in two tortillas and choice of fries or potatoes salad.
The view was beautiful, our waitress was the sweetest and she gave us great service, but unfortunately my girlfriend's food was not good. No salsa, no sour cream, no taco seasoning at the very least. No guac, no cheese... Worst thing, this meal cost her 18$ when there was not a single source of protein. My meal was the Oyster Po-Boy and cost 20$.
It's unfortunate that the only vegetarian option does not offer much. Having to pay this much for just vegetables in tortillas is disappointing.
We are hoping to come back eventually, with maybe a better...
Read moreAn amazing place that even I as an Islander overlook. The patio outside has an amazing view of Stanley River, with PEIs signature red rock cliffs, white Sand Dunes, a colourful wharf and the bridge. Our server was super efficient. The service was fast. They have daily cocktails that are fun- tasty- PEI/Stanley Bridge tailored. They have many local beers on tap including Moth Lane from Tyne Valley which I loved. We just ordered some oysters, and quahogs and nachos and beers post kayaking the Stanley river. Where the oysters and quahogs were perfectly shucked and served properly in a timely manner and our nachos were the perfect size with lots of toppings and also served pretty quickly. She gave us our bill and we paid as soon as we finished the nachos - which may have seemed rush but she assured us that we could stay as long as we wanted. So we just finished our beers and chatted and watched the amazing view. Great...
Read moregreat location, , we chose this restaurant for a family birthday supper , while on vacation in Cavendish, PEI. I was the quest of honor. All of the adults ordered the shellfish with a sampling of oysters, mussels, clams.. My food arrived and as I started to enjoy the first oyster,,I found a long black hair had been cooked along with the shellfish in my serving dish. Not wanting to make a scene , , I removed it after pointing it out to my adult daughter but alas, my meal was ruined. When our waitress came back to the table , she asked it everything was OK, ,I told her about the hair, and her remark? "Was it one of mine?" and then laughed. She never asked if I wanted another serving, or even offered an apology. When the sizeable bill was paid, there was no discount or apology.. There are so many other places offering great food and service in the area , this will be our last trip to...
