Home style farm cooking without the mess. Springbrook is an almost 200 year old, farming community. The main hotel was built in the year 1855 and many of the original structures were built in approximately 1832. The Springbrook Diner Welcomes family. Wait to be seated and sign their guest book. They carry orchard-made, “Craft” Kingsmill’s apple cider and locally evaporated maple syrup, straight from the Family sugar shack in the bush. Yeah, 200 years...they know maple syrup, all things Farm-fresh and they understand locally grown produce.

Wonderful breakfast on a Sunday morning. Super amazing eggs Benny and their signature breakfast. The peameal bacon was cooked to perfection, the sausages were extra juicy and you tell they were cooked to order. All the food was very fresh, and it was at a very reasonable price.

Strike 2! And the last. When the diner first reopened we were there the first week. We had been regular customers to the diner in the past and we were happy it reopened. That first meal was HORRIBLE. We did not go back. Tonight we decided on going out for a smaller meal. We had thought recently of giving it another chance. The Google reviews were certainly better than previous. We asked for a 2 pc fish and chip to split. And was told no. "Because you can order a 1 pc" I'm sorry but not everyone wants a platter of French fries. We said fine we will just have our coffee and go on up to another restaurant we started going to after our last experience. We were told thats fine. Ok.....i understand...that restaurants would rather make 10.49 per person than 12.99 for 2. However, for the cost of 8.50 you just lost customers. We have a family of 7 who in the future would have come and spent a far greater amount but certainly not when we were unsure to begin with. For the cost of 8 bucks not only did you loose what could have been regular customers, you gained a review that tells the world. This is not about the money. It's about the policy. We could have ordered a 2 pc take out and took it home. I assume they don't ask if we split a meal there. We had coffee...would have had our meal and likely dessert. For the cost of the 8.50 lost on our meal you actually lost over 20.00 tonight and any future consideration of dining at your restaurant in the future. Edited to add....your bathrooms are in need...

We've eaten here several times and had great experiences. Food was good, and so was service.

Unfortunately our Fathers Day visit was different than anything we had experienced in the past, and definitely left us considering going elsewhere in the future. The server (long grey hair w/glasses) was rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. They also made an extremely rude comment when we arrived for our reservation "Better late than never I guess?" We arrived on time and sat at the entrance while no one even so much as acknowledge our arrival. Not sure if someone put down the wrong time? Either way - not sure that is something you say to your paying customers. We waited patiently to be seated as the restaurant was busy. The consideration was never reciprocated by the waitress. We asked for drinks, since she seemed to be serving a table that was seated well after our table, and she snapped back "Ya when I have time..." I have never NOT left a tip even when service wasn't ideal. This was the first time I did not leave a penny because the experience was just awful. It really changed the feeling of celebrating fathers day at a restaurant we use to love and enjoy. Hopefully it was just an off day for her. Not sure if we will return or just find another local restaurant to support instead? Unfortunate, because this place was a great reason to visit...

Worth the drive from Belleville! We came for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated fairly quickly and the food came out quite quick. One notable thing about this place is that you actually get your French fries piping hot as it should be, which completely improves the flavor. They also offer both westernized (with lettuce) and authentic style Greek salads (without lettuce). I haven't seen that in too many places even Greek restaurants. The pricing is consistent with the current cost of trying to run a restaurant in this inflation era. Lunch for two was about 30 to 40 bucks. But the food definitely is worth the price. My only constructive feedback is that it could potentially be lit a little bit brighter inside. This is a great restaurant with friendly staff and worth driving out to for a...
