The Country Home Bakery — Restaurant in Sussex Corner

Well wow. Went to this little gem after the Sussex Flea Market..the outside has a beautiful little setting areas with tables and umbrellas. Inside is air conditioned and really really cute. Loads of little tables set really beautifully, not over crowded together. Lovely little bakery shopping area with jams and preserves, nice freshly baked cookies and treats, sweet candy bags for the Littles. At the front there is a lovely dessert showcase and let me tell you, you can't choose just one. We ordered the pork schnitzel with spaetzle and mushrooms sauce. Incredible. We sat hardly any time at all and the young lady who served us was so busy and just incredibly sweet and pleasant to everyone. She hustled all with a smile on her face. The food was OUTRAGEOUSLY yummy. The pork was crispy, golden and flavorful. The sauce was creamy and rich with Sautee mushrooms. I wish there were a few more mushrooms, but I'm really into fungi! :-) the pasta was also incredible and so fresh. Really really lovely experience, cost the same as McDonalds and we are excited to come back soon!!!...

So I have been hearing great things about the Country Home Bakery in Sussex, New Brunswick. I stopped in for a late lunch with the boys where we had margherita and pepperoni pizzas, garlic fingers with homemade aoli, 2 cheesecake delicacies and a strawberry cake roll. Our picks were all as equally scrumptious. What I wasn't aware of was all the extras available there!! They have custom made spice blends, dessert sauces, homemade jams, and bbq sauces of all kinds, homemade mustards and chutneys the selections are amazing! And they have all kinds of chocolates, and breads. It will definitely be a must-go for me when it is open during my travels through the area! I highly recommend trying their wood-fired pizzas they are delicious (crust, spices, sauce ) and with lots of Quality ingredients. Can't wait to try their pastas...
