10/10, the food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing!

Two of us had the Eggs Benedict (perfectly poached eggs with runny yolks, juicy Canadian bacon, smooth and rich hollandaise sauce, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside home fries), and one us had the burger and fries (massive 8oz beast that was twice the size of what you get in most restaurants, juicy and cooked perfectly on a soft bun with a fantastic sauce, and perfectly cooked and seasoned fries). The plating was gorgeous too. I wished we'd thought to take pictures, but we were too excited and tucked in immediately.

The coffee was amazing. Not sure what roast they use, but it was one of the best coffees we've had in a long time.

Dessert was caramel pecan cheesecake (decadent is the only way to describe it), apple crumble cheesecake (perfect mix of cheesecake and apple pie filling that was soft without being mushy and just right amount of cinnamony goodness), and sticky toffee pudding (they heated it up and was melty, warm, comfort on a plate).

Service was fantastic, and the owners were absolute sweethearts. We loved the decor (a lot of raw edge wood, the coffee sack wall, and the community created teapot wall really make the place perfect), and the vibes overall were immaculate. We're from Bobcaygeon, 1.5-2 hours away, and stopped in for brunch on the way to a zoo, and we'd happily make the drive again JUST for the food. It's also the perfect location since it's right near the water with a beach ~5 minutes away. I'm particularly excited to come back for dinner (hopefully soon 🤞🏻) and try some of their seafood dishes since it's fresh (we heard they just got a delivery this morning of salmon...

My wife and I ordered the steaks, and these were cooked to perfection. The accompanying summer salad was bursting with flavour and the mushroom sauce was a perfect addition to the already flavourful steak. What was amazing was to have Shannon herself come out to offer more fries, salad, or mushroom sauce if we required it.

What truly sets Shannon’s Kitchen off from other restaurants is the exceptional host. Tom, Shannon’s husband, is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, ensuring every guest feels comfortable and cared for. Tom took the time after dinner to describe his and Shannon’s journey to opening this restaurant. Where the collection of teapots, metal tins, and other unique and interesting decor items came from.
