R.U.Hungries Foodshop and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Temiskaming Shores

Used to come here semi often, whenever I was in the mood for burger and poutine, however this time around the service, food and price was very disappointing, I called to order as usual, and the girl on the phone was not friendly at all, I asked for burger combos with a poutine, she said they don't come with a poutine Soni said that's fine can I get poutines added anyways...she said no the combos don't come with poutines at all, so I told her Idc if they are extra I would like poutines, so she said ok...but then when I asked to picked out the sides for the meals she said I don't get sides as they only come with the meals...I felt like I was talking to a brick wall, ...I had asked for meals plus poutines, I've never had an issue before, then when all was said and done, went to pick up the food, they forgot a part of my order so had to wait longer, then the total came up to over $80!... I can get a full 6-8 person order at Chinese food for that price, I didn't argue as I didn't want to get into it with the employee (they don't make the prices), when I got home the portion sizes were smaller than what you'd get at a fair for about the same price, and the burgers were burnt and hard to eat, the poutines were very small for the 7$ price they had and although was decent to eat there was so much cheese that it over powered the gravy and fries.

Sadly to say probably last time we eat here again, don't feel like going through all that hassle on the phone again and for the quality/portion size of the food vs the price, I'd say not really worth it, especially with other options...

Really great food and the summer sausage alone is worth the visit it is so good.. roll it up with some of the fresh thorloe cheese and it's a match made in heaven.. 3 homemade pizzas for 20 is one of the best deals you can get for your price point.. the poutine is amazing.. although sometimes the fries are a little undercooked they make up for it in exceptional gravy and delicious cheese curds.. and there's even a variety from regular, full or bbq! They also have a great new produce section so if you wanna make your own meal at home like a burger or something there's now a place in haileybury to get your produce without the hassle of going all the way to liskeard. The owner is exceptionally nice and will listen to anything you have to say.. he always explains himself and always offers great explanations or solutions to any problem you could possibly find. Places like this are what are making haileybury worth the visit. And don't forget to tip your server who still serves you with a smile even after working a long shift in extreme heat. I found this gem seaching via google and am very pleased! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly hello. I had a look around and was surprised this place is much more than getting pizza. They have a wonderful selection on the menu to choose from and like 5 different fresh salads to go. The store also has deli, ice cream, some produce, canned goods etc! Honestly, I was really surprised how much is offered in this lil spot.
