Alberta's Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Thames Centre

Its very rare that I give a 5 star review. In my humble opinion this quaint resteraunt is a 5 star plus. I'm am blow away by the quality and taste of what I ordered. First off the staff made us feel right at home, we were greeted with absolutely exceptional service. I ordered a meat lovers panzarotti. Not something I typically order, but I was craving one and I'm so glad I got it because wow!. This thing was not only huge, it was loaded with cheese, bacon , ham, pepperoni, sausage and came with a bowl of marinara. This is definitely a meal for two. Topped with garlic paramasan. The flavor profile and topping balance was perfect. This is quite honestly the best panzarotti I have ever had. Its so rare to be blown away by quality made food that exceeds your expectations. This resteraunt it an absolute gem. There is a whole menu of amazing dishes. Definitely an old school owner/cook who really cares about the finished product and dedicates themselves in the kitchen. You can litterally tast the love that went into our food. And our panzarotti came with a house soup that was so good I had to order another one. Our drinks stayed topped up throughout the. Meal. I'm absolutely floored. Alberta's resteraunt hits my top 5 hands down. You have got to check it out! Don't sleep on this 5 star + experience. Alberta's is a rare find these days and a must try for any hard to please foodie out...

Amazing food and friendly staff....love local!!!! UPDATE: In all the years of dining in and out this is the first time I am disappointed. I ordered gravy on the side and requested FOUR extra which I paid for and sadly my hot turkey entrée has NO gravy and none of the bags had the extra gravy I ordered. Sadly to return for it would make meal unedible so sadly turkey can't be eaten without gravy so veg and mashed potatoes are dinner with dog getting lucky and having turkey tonight. When everything is in boxes bags it's impossible to ensure everything is there and I've NEVER had any issues before tonight. I will return as I'm a loyal local supporter but I won't make the mistake of not opening everything before leaving to ensure my orders all there. Staff as friendly as always food I could eat was amazing just disappointed to not have my hot turkey comfort food tonight just not edible without gravy and I always order extra and always on the side so I have lots to pour over. Reasonable, Is It As Good As It Is Hyped?

Three-and-half star experience

I recently moved to the small town/village of Dorchester, and a few of my neighbours recommended this restaurant. So I decided to try it out via phone-in take-out. My takes:

1. Phone ordering process was smooth, but the lady at the other end was bored. 3 stars.
2. The actual service at the restaurant when I arrived for pick-up? About average, slightly grumpy attitude. 3 stars.
3. Food item 1: Large veggie pizza… Absolutely divine. Fresh vegetables. Moderate but fresh cheese. Crunchy base. Absolute 5 stars.
4. Food item 2: Chicken quesadilla… fresh and delicious, but probably too small. 4 stars.
5. Food item 3: Jalapeno shrimp… too small portion for the price. Where is the jalapeno flavor? 3 stars.
6. Food item 4: Butternut squash soup… bleh… you call that soup? 1 star.
7. Overall price paid: a bit too high for the quality of food....
