Sizzlin Meats Inc. — Restaurant in Thorold

My husband and I visited here on Sunday around 5pm. We ordered a combo for 3-4ppl so 4 meat portions and 3 sides. They were out of chicken so we ordered double portions of brisket and pulled pork. For our sides we upgraded one to poutine, then chose the baked beans and the Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was delicious, brisket could have used a little extra BBQ sauce for dipping. The poutine was excellent. The baked beans were not what I was expecting. It was more of a very sweet meat sauce and didn't have much for beans in it. That wasn't for me I wouldn't reorder that. The Mac and cheese needs work. The cheese sauce is bland and the noodles were overdone. The service was fine. She was quiet but young and perfectly polite. The tables had no actual shade despite having a couple of umbrellas. I would definitely try it again. I will probably make different choices for my sides and take my meal elsewhere until they can provide...

Food was so dry and overcooked it was inedible the person working made us feel unwanted and we were a hassle the second we got there not worth the hype or price what a waste of money (and it's not cheap!) tasted like they used liquid smoke and way too much at that! Do youself a favour and have a look at their health inspection results too! I won't be back thats for sure! Wish I would have known before hand!

FYI quit blaming your competitors we were paying customers not a competitor so learn how to take the good and the bad and learn from it instead of making yourself look like a fool on social media! Maybe work on better customer service and better health inspection ratings and things will pick up for you! We stopped by Sizzlin Meats Inc. expecting bold, smoky BBQ based on their mouthwatering photos — but what we actually got was bland, dry, and massively overpriced for what you recieved.

The meat was overcooked and tough, lacking the tenderness or flavour you'd expect from any BBQ worth its salt. Portions were small for the price, and there was no real balance of sauce, seasoning, or smoke — just a heap of disappointment in a box.

To top it off, the service felt rushed and impersonal. When we asked a question about the menu, the staff seemed annoyed, like we were bothering them. For a place that promotes itself as a premium BBQ experience, this felt more like fast food trying to charge gourmet prices.
