Not to be discriminatory but ever since this location was taken over by Indian employees, it’s gone so down hill. The staff is lazy and speak Punjabi to each other so you can’t understand what they are saying, they take orders horribly and tell you that you are wrong for not speaking more clear…it’s clear there is a language barrier and seeing as this is a Canadian business in CANADA, the staff should be fluent in speaking and understanding English. Just this morning I was charged for a large iced capp when I asked for an iced coffee. There is a $1.20 difference and instead of offering the refund or something to compensate the cashier at the window said “I charged you for the iced Capp, but that’s okay” knowing there is over a dollar difference. No problems with the people who hang out outside, it’s been that way since I was a kid. The inside of the restaurant however is disgraceful, always bugs hovering around the donuts, stale burnt coffee and tea, lazy staff who don’t correct their mistakes and a lack of English knowledge causes orders to be wrong which in turn causes the staff to get frustrated at the customers who are speaking very clearly to someone with barely any understanding of the language spoken here in Ontario. Also they prioritize drive thru and once while I was in the middle of speaking my order, the cashier (a younger Indian girl) walked away to the window without saying anything while there were 3 staff still standing there, when a gentleman approached the counter and asked me to pay I had told him “I haven’t even finished ordering yet, she just walked away” he goes “oh” and asked what else I wanted…..bottom line horrible customer service in...
Read moreI recently visited Tim Hortons around 1:30 PM for a relaxing brunch, expecting the usual calm and welcoming atmosphere that Tim Hortons is known for. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was far from pleasant.
As soon as I entered, I noticed the staff speaking extremely loudly in Hindi. While I understand that people may speak their native language at work, the volume and the nature of their conversation were highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, they were using inappropriate language in Hindi, assuming that no one around would understand. This created a very uncomfortable environment.
To add to the discomfort, when an African customer approached to place an order, one of the staff members started singing a Hindi song loudly. This prompted the customer to rightfully point out that this was not the staff member's bedroom, implying that their behavior was inappropriate for a professional setting.
Throughout my time there, I could barely hear my friend who was sitting right beside me because of the loud chatter coming from the staff. What was supposed to be a relaxing time turned into a very frustrating experience.
Tim Hortons usually provides a welcoming environment, but this particular visit left me disappointed. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an unacceptable and disturbing incident that occurred today, July 30th, 2025, at approximately 4:30 PM at your Tim Hortons location at 3316 Lakeshore Rd W, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1M9.
During my visit, I was subjected to racially offensive comments made by three female staff members who were working at the time. Their remarks were unprofessional, inappropriate, and made me feel targeted and extremely uncomfortable. Experiencing this kind of behaviour from employees representing your brand is not only disappointing but also completely unacceptable.
I urge Tim Hortons to take this matter seriously by conducting a thorough investigation and holding those responsible accountable. No customer should ever be treated in this manner, and I hope steps will be taken to ensure this does not happen again to anyone else.
