A&W Canada — Restaurant in Town of Athabasca

Whoever was working the drive thru window Sept 22, 2023 at 8:30pm, was extremely rude. We ordered 2 chubby chicken's, one was a combo with fries and a drink. He must have confused what we meant and thought we only wanted a combo. We informed him nicely that we also wanted an extra chubby chicken sandwich, and he looked at us rude and made a "tch" sound with his tongue. Clearly he was annoyed and he told the cooks another chubby. My sister paid again for the extra sandwich (which he missed we told him at the speaker.) but it was fine, if he missed it. People are human. However, the annoyance and "tch" sound was uncalled for. Anyways 10mintues out of town we realized he gave us some kind of spicy chubby chicken sandwich. It went in the garbage because my sister can't eat spicy food and it's not what we ordered. Whatever employee that worked that shift maybe shouldn't be working with the public if he is gonna be annoyed with doing his job which is taking...

I used to stop here for lunch every other day when I was trucking for Eveready out of Ft MacMurray. The Teen burger was the best A&W teen Burger I had ever tasted. Having eaten at numerous A&Ws over my 51 years on this rock

Terrible costumer service. l was in drive through a couple weeks ago and before driving away l checked my order. lt was wrong (but on the screen was correct). l very kindly asked for lt to be corrected, (there was cheese on my burger when l asked for none- allergy) which the staff was extremely rude about. They then tried to fix lt by taking the cheese off the patty and giving the same burger back. There was still some cheese left on the patty. l politely explained and asked for a new burger entirely. They rudely told me to park out front bc l was holding up the line and they’d bring me a new one. The lady literally threw the new burger through my window to me.
