Elieneke’s Bake Shop — Restaurant in Town of Barrhead

Our cake was absolutely perfect and looked exactly how we had envisioned! When we visited Barrhead to see our wedding venue, we stopped in at De Herdt Gardens, and we knew right away that we wanted Elien to make our cake. It was such a wonderful and special place, and working with her and having someone local was just as special. Elien offered so many delicious options, was incredibly responsive to emails, and even delivered the cake right to us which made everything so easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful (and delicious) cake....

So completely disappointed with the cupcakes I ordered for my son’s birthday. The quality of cakes that are featured online is not what we got - at all!!! The cupcakes were not a rush order - the order was placed 6 days before we needed them and I specifically asked if she had time to create them. She admitted that she sacrificed quality to save time! She couldn’t even have bothered to cut the labels into circles, let alone center the image. She also only offers store credit. So frustrated as this was suppose to save me time and I am embarrassed to serve these...

Such a wonderful find on a road trip! We were told to go here for the pasties (which were amazing!) but we spent most of our time wandering around the beautiful shop buying handmade and unique plant pots. The greenhouse next door was interesting even at this time of year and I got two more houseplants. The staff were super nice and friendly and even the customers seemed extra happy :) I think I'll be make Barrhead an annual summer...
