Milos Grill — Restaurant in Town of Hinton

Food really was pretty good,, would have liked to have eaten there again,, however after this,,that won't happen,, and this is why. On the evening of July 1st 2022 at 8PM, with a total of less then 3 tables and 6 people in the building and patio,,I had to endure some of the WORST service I've had in a VERY long time,, and as a trucker for the last 38 years through out north America,from the border of Mexico to Alaska,, that's saying something!! I was sat down with a menu and didn't see the server again for waaaaay to long,, when the server did come to take my order, it's was the same person who sat me in the first place. Why she didn't ask me if I wanted anything at that time is a absolute mystery to me. Once I got my dinner, which was dropped on front of me rather rudely,,it was the last time I saw her,, never stopped buy the table to check if anything was needed,, there was,, to a point where I had to go to the bar to order another beer.(I had the Jambalaya,, so a beer was needed!!). When I talked to someone who identified themselves as the manager,,she took a very negative attitude towards me when I pointed out that the same server had sat another table and was right on them with water and their drinks and engaged with serving them. In closing,,, the food was good,, the service SUCKED!!! I've noticed this little place for quite awhile and always wanted to try it,, now I know,,...

Food is top-tier. One of the best restaurants in Hinton. And clearly, it's a hidden gem - the place is NEVER busy! Expect solid service, even though on the rare occasion when it is slightly busier, they never have two waitresses on, only one. Service can be slightly inattentive at these times.

Aside from that, I genuinely have come to expect the experience at Milo's to be overwhelmingly pleasant every single time, and it is. They deliver the goods. The baked lasagna is absolutely to die for. It is maybe even better than L&W's! It's one of the best lasagnas I've ever had. The garlic toast on the side, too? Chef's kiss. It's flavorful, crispy, and garlicky perfection.

The pizza is also an unexpected hit. Tried the meat lover's pizza - it was phenomenal. I would do it again! And plan on it - soon!

Do NOT skip the homemade baklava, either! Maybe the greatest dessert I've had at a restaurant - ever? It's delicious, and compared to baklava at other restaurants, it's reasonably priced for how fresh, homemade and delicious it is. Comes with some delicious ice cream on the side, too!

Milo's is a gem. Perfect for a nice cute date night with your special someone, and also perfect for a gathering or a function of any size.

For a locally run restaurant we had a very disappointing time. The special was a curry chicken penne which was expretmely bland and lacked any flavor whatsoever (literally noodles and curry powder mixed together with water). The baked lasagna was literally masked in cheese to hide the fact that it seemed that they had just opened a can of tomatoes and dumped it on some very water noodles. Meat sauce? I couldn't find any meat in the lasagna at all. Other friends ordered the chicken souvlaki and said it was alright and a cheeseburger was okay too.

When we returned the lasagna they said "so void it?" I feel like they have had issues in the passed with their food but haven't addressed them.

11/10 would not return to this restaurant, even if you paid me. Also we were charged more for the special then it was actually posted for.
