Who doesn't like a roadside fish & chip hut. Well this one's a bit more! All the seafood here is done by hand. Fresh home cut fries and spectacular service. The owner is a first responder so I know he puts as much care into his food as he does the community so I couldn't wait to try the local sourced goods. I'm just a little embarrassed I haven't tried it sooner.

I had a 2 piece fish and fries. If you like hand battered english style fish (almost like a beer batter) than you have to take a trip over here. I was impressed with the price $15 (taxes in) for a 2 piece meal. I had the privilege of meeting the owner Andrew. He cooked my meal, super nice down to earth guy who takes pride in his work. We talked about some of the local scenery and hiking trails. So now I have a whole weekend planned for the next visit. I'm really looking forward to bringing the family here to try the rest of his food, he does it all!

It's refreshing to find a homemade gem that doesn't break the bank. Thanks Andrew for being a staple in the community! See you...

Never disappointed! We got a Clam platter and a 3 piece fish n chips, then split it so we could both enjoy! šŸ˜‹ There was a change in prices since our last visit but this is where we're at these days, see my pics for the updated menu and prices šŸ˜€. I'll also add that we arrived just minutes before the supper rush, and yes it got busy. It's safe to say that when you consistently deliver great food, the word travels fast!!

Where this is a take home or stay and eat, the outdoor eating area is well spread out our only disappointment was that my wife and I were the only ones wearing a mask. Unfortunately, this is pretty much the norm everywhere we go these days. At least if we do encounter someone with covid, we're not only protecting ourselves best we can, we're also preventing the spread to everyone else including immune compromised friends and...

I remember the seafood platter being so much better in years past than it was on Tuesday. There was really nothing soecial about it and quite honestly, we were disappointed because we were expecting better. I do think the pop was about the coldest you could get. Prompt service, at least, and no seagulls or pigeons was a big relief for a takeout so close to St Andrews :) . Should have asked what their secret was for that. A little toddler sized girl at the tiny play area went down the slide, landed her feet in to a hole of hard sand at the bottom that literally threw her forward on her belly hard. Poor little baby! The play area needs upkeep, I'd say. All in all , I think we'll be heading to Ossies in Bethel for our next platter. $50 bill for two platters later, it would be nice to...
