Atmosphere is straight out of the eighties. Food is also, straight out of the eighties, but frozen.......possibly since the eighties. Started with the potato skins, which were ok.....plain, unseasoned. I had the fish and chips for 18 dollars and was served four pieces of deep fried, frozen fish pieces and a smattering of undercooked fries. Coleslaw was underwhelming. My dinner companion had the teriyaki bowl with chicken. Again, what I believe could only have been a frozen chicken breast, tossed with some over cooked vegetables and smothered in bottled teriyaki sauce.
I've heard the pizza and pasta is decent but cannot confirm.
Service was not great, taking an hour to receive the potato skins in a very quiet restaurant. There was one other table seated.
Westlock doesn't have a lot of choice. But that doesn't excuse serving sub-par food and giving bad service.

Read moreWhat a great place to pull over! I had the Crab Roll on a recommendation from my server and it was FANTASTIC. They also make their own dill dressing - and boy was it good too!!! The steak snelled so good, I had to order that too - and once again, I was NOT disappointed!! Cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, it’s one of the better steaks I’ve had in a while. The coleslaw is made in house and was GREAT too. Heck, even the garlic toast and fries were deadly!
That said - I saw some of the other patron’s meals, and I’m thinking I missed out on the pasta, because everything else that came out smelled and looked amazing too! A classic, old school restaurant that is definitely worth stopping in to. Excellent ambiance, fast and courteous service (Thanks again Debbie, you were great!!) and really reasonably priced too! Worth a drive and absolutely worth a stop if you’re...
Read moreWe were late getting into the local campground so we thought we would grab a late supper. Ordered the $33.00 10oz. Strip loin with spaghetti as the side and a starter Greek salad. The wife ordered the ground beef and onion pizza. The salad waswas wonderfully crisp, fresh and delicious. The steak however, not so much. I ordered it medium well but unfortunately came out over done and charred. The spaghetti was tasty. The pizza was good as well. We also had the carrot cake which was the usual Mississauga made. As for the restaurant itself it is aw quite old building but in good shape with clean washrooms. The service was very good as well. The carrot cake was removed from the bill to make up for the steak that I...
