Restaurant Normandin Cap-de-la-Madeleine — Restaurant in Trois-Rivières

Very disappointing experience due to charging all children the adult group set menu price/selection. We made reservations at this location on Saturday august 16, 6pm for 2 soccer teams whom had driven 4 hours away to participate in a tournament. We had made reservations over a month earlier confirming the number of children under 11 and adults. The agreement was that all adults had to eat off of a group set menu (which is very normal and understandable) and that the children could order off of the kids menu. Once there, sat down and all drinks ordered, we were informed the kids would also have to eat on the group menu. 5 choices, 20$ per plate with nothing included like a normal kids menu (drinks, main meal and desert). We discussed this with email confirmation proof at length with the waitresses whom contacted the manager for guidance. The manager informed them that it was like a too bad so sad situation and everyone no mather age would have to order the 20$ per meal plate. Ive never had to pay this amount fora 5 year old (my youngest) ever. It has turned me off of recommending this restaurant/chain for any type event/sports/tournament/group with children. We have never had this situation...

This would be a 2-star rating if not for the staff; Chantal was great. But the "Chicken Club Artisan Sandwich" was disgusting. The photo shows how it was described but the chicken in the sandwich was possibly "Flakes of Chicken" from a can that was improperly drained. The sandwich gave me gas for the next 2 hours. This is far from what to expect from a "Artisan" sandwich. The price on the online menu shows $19.95 yet my bill came at $20.45. The fries were grossly soggy. The parking was silly, cramped, narrow spots, and hard to turn corners (I had to make half a turn, back up, then go...

Nous faisons la route Montréal -Quebec plusieurs fois par année depuis plusieurs années et chaque fois, souvent au retour mais aussi lors des allés, nous arrêtons pour se délecter de la fameuse pizza garnie Normandin accompagnée d'une frite, au Cap de la Madeleine. Nous sommes tellement habitués que nous n'avons plus besoin du menu pour commander: "Une moyenne toute garnie, une frite et 2 colas fontaine"! Or hier soir en revenant de Québec, comme dhabitude, nous avions hâte d'arriver à "notre Normandin" préféré pour, encore une fois, se délecter de leur fameuse toute garnie avec frites. Pour la première fois, nous avons été déçu; la croûte de la pizza était tellement mince qu'elle était toute détrempée et laissait une impression de viscosité qu'on ne s'attendaient pas. De plus, côté service, bien que la jeune serveuse a été gentille, on nous a apporté la pizza sans nous servir la première pointe comme c'était l'habitude. Cette petite attention fait une différence dans la qualité du service. Notre pizza a-t-elle reposée dans la cuisine trop longtemps avant de nous être servie, d'où la raison de la "viscosité" de la très mince croûte ?? Nous aurons l'occasion prochainement de "tester" à nouveau le restaurant lors de notre prochain voyage mais nous espérons que notre visite d'hier soir sera un mauvais souvenir et que nous retrouverons "notre Normandin"...
