Gull Harbour Restaurant on Hecla Island — Restaurant in Unorganized Division No. 18 (East)

Make a RESERVATION but that didn’t matter either I called ahead to see when the kitchen closed… well should have made a reservation But not told when I called at 6pm On a Tuesday night…., I arrived 3 staff for a huge venue with many empty tables.. Two gals in front of me were already waiting a few minutes Then decide to sit at the empty bar well one other patron I continued to stand waiting be seated I had called thinking I could eat right away Or at bare minimum sit down Long drive to get there Not one single staff acknowledge I’m waiting I pick up a menu Thinking I would be seated or noticed Nope So went to the empty tables 6:25pm Saw a table two water glasses filled RESERVED 7pm Table beside just the water bottle I ask a passing staff May I sit here? Didn’t even blink says did you make a reservation? I said no but sure would have been nice had I been TOLD that when I called 15 minutes ago

I left a bit angry Drove to end of the road I’m hungry call to make a RESERVATION Got told yes One person We can seat you in 5-10 minutes I drive back Park walk up to empty sign Wait to be seated Looked at each staff In the eye had they tried But not any acknowledgement A customer is there Two gals still at bar Got their drinks!! Goot fer dem

Not worth it :(

Went here for lunch after our hike. We all ordered food and drinks, well over $130 spent between the 6 of us.

There was 2 other tables that had ppl at them. So the restaurant was not busy. The staff was not attentive, and we waited 40 min for our drinks. with out an explaination. Also they give you the water, however it is for sure unfiltered well water and not very good to drink.

when the food orders finally came out, there were errors and when mentioned the waitres just said oh ill check what was written down instead of offering to fix it..

The menu listed the fish tacos with cilantro....they had none and only had some cabbage on them. Not what is expected when ordering fish tacos.

The staff offered us a discount as they could tell we were displeased......we honestly thought the restaurant was brand new and had just opened as the staff seemed disorganized and lost as to what was going on.....also the owner/manager was wondering around in his pajamas.....

the restaurant itself looks gorgeous and the renovations are really nice.

I suggest better training for the staff, ability to muti task.....the food needs a lot of work, bland and not what was expected for the pricing......oh and get some music playing so we dont need to play our own while we wait 40 min for...

Severe shrinkflation since fall of 2024 on the Fish (pickerel) and Chips meal for 7 of 9 in our party. $24 for one, medium size piece, hand full of chips and warm cold slaw. Our grandsons kids meal had just as much fish and chips. We come home to Manitoba to visit family and reconnect with the love of Pickerel but Gull Harbour Restaurant failed us this visit. Drinks were very long to be received and generally the staff this evening was more interested in their socializing than serving the customer. Going to sound like a Boomer (which I am not) but a mature manager on the floor would be best. We were asked after we finished eating if everything was all right. The 18% gratuity on large parties was not deserved. Have to say this but if you want a great feed of pickerel go to Gimli and visit Kris's Fish and Chips.
