Rongie Lake Motel and Hungry Moose Restaurant — Restaurant in Unorganized Thunder Bay District

Staying here for a month during my time in Schreiber working for the month. The food was great and served to you hot and fresh, everything is homemade from the burgers 🍔 to the steak 🥩 and poutine! The beef on the bun is to die for!

Has a home like feel to it, everyone that comes in are regulars and love to help, when you stay here you feel like you among friends and family! The owners Judy and Chris are awesome they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy during your stay, if you’re passing through and need a place to stay I highly recommend this place. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have a home like feel to them, beds 🛏️ aren’t anything special but nonetheless Still comfortable and a place to lay your head at night. Smart television 📺 in the room so you have access to Netflix, Disney plus and all those streaming apps. There is lake accross the street, and another one 2minute walk away, waking up on the lake is priceless, the location cannot be beat! The restaurant/convenience store downstairs features an extensive menu.

Iuck would have it that on my cross country journey I had some car trouble right in front of the motel. I pulled in and ended up staying for a week as I waited on parts. Very nice people running this Motel and Restaurant. If you will be arriving after dark it would be best to call and tell them you're coming. Simple, clean, small Motel and Restaurant. It's just west of Schreiber outside of town. Careful you don't drive past it in the dark. It's not very well lit. I suggest using your Google Maps to navigate here.
